Sunil Gavaskar lampoons BCCI's decision to revive Indo Pak cricket

Former Indian Captain Sunil Gavaskar has reacted harshly to the decision of BCCI which has revived the Indo Pak Bilateral Cricket. His primary reason was that the ties shouldn't have been revived unless Pakistan has co-operated for a probe in the Mumbai Terror attacks incident.

Pakistan Cricket Board's efforts have become successful today after many months of trying to revive the ties between the countries by playing the bilateral series. Gavaskar said that he could not take the move positively hailing from Mumbaikar. He said, "Being a Mumbaikar I feel what is the urgency when there is no co-operation from the other side".

Apart from national reasons he quoted that playing a lot of games would only increase the stress both mentally and physically. England would play 4 test matches before the matches decided with Pakistan and after these matches they would play with England again who would return after Christmas on Jan 11. The gap was intended to be a breather but the decision has cramped up the schedule with 5 more matches.

"Well, my first reaction is that the time the players have between the England series, it is not going to be there. They are playing England in November-December but now they are not going to get the breather," Gavaskar said.
