Federer speaks to the media at All England Club on his victory

Roger Federer after the victory against Andy Murray registered his seventh Wimbledon Championship with his strategic and skilful game.

The Swedish superstar, who has shed tears on the ground both after his victories and losses, had not been so emotional on Sunday night. He said, “Its ok to be heart broken, after all we are human too.” He also said after his extra special moment of a Grand Slam victory, “Crying lets out the feeling in you, a feeling that your fans care about. It shows that you care about the game, whether you win or lose. Its an exciting moment for any player to play the game, have the torphyin your hands, sign some autographs, and then leave the arena content with the performance and results. But the hardest part is speaking after a game moreso when you know that there are tens of thousands of fans out there who feel bad for your loss. It is OK to cry and let the sadness out.”

He said that it was the matches that he had lost during the last 2 and half years which he could have won have prepared him for his clash against Murray. “It was a great final according to me, one of my greatest victories.”

Roger Federer was glad he could share the victory with his wife Mirka and twin daughters Charlene Riva and Myla Rose who were present at the Centre Court. With his win in the finals he has earned his eligiblity to the ATP's season ending championships. He has decided to take a break to prepare himself mentally and physically for the olympics that would begin on 28th July at the All England Club.

Commenting about the Olympics he said, “Wimbledon was my dream as a child. For this year, I have reached one of my 3 three goals. I look forward to fulfill another goal by winning in the Olympics which is much different to the games I played for the last few days. I want to win for my country and also enjoy the experiences of the Olympics”.
