Team India looses in ODI, blame DWL

DWL claims Team India in Common Wealth Bank series against the Australians at the Melbourne cricket club in the day night ODI on Sunday. After winning the toss India elected to field. The Australians who started the innings in a dull weather were three down for a meek 49 runs. Then debutant Wade invaded the stadium, with his blistering knock of 67 runs. Later MEK Hussey joined DJ Hussey and made a splendid knock of 45 runs and 61 runs respectively. The Australians scored 216 runs for 5 wickets, in 32 overs as the match was down sized by Duck-Worth Lewis method due consistent drizzling. R Vinay Kumar from Karnataka over shinned in the bowling department claiming three wickets.

Not enough with the bat, Wade the debutant wicket keeper damaged the Indian side by stumping India’s brilliant opener Gautam Gambhir in the fourth over and later claimed Rohit Sharma’s wicket too. But the main damage was initiated by Ponting who caught the Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, unaware, in the second over. Sachin as usual disappointed his fans with a meek two run contribution. Indians wind up meekly at 151 in the thirtieth over itself. The win was delivered to the hosts in a platter by the guests as usual. Bowler CJ McKay was the hero in his department and claimed 4 wickets.

The man of the match was none other than the debut wicket keeper who played a brilliant game, without exhaustion. In the tri nation series team India meet Sri Lanka at Perth tomorrow.
