US Embassy apologizes for rude tweet

US Embassy in Chile has made amends to the mistake it made with technology recently. The offensive tweet that hinted at boredom or perhaps even irritation directed to the former Chilean President Michelle Bachelet was erased by the US Embassy. They even offered apologies for their mistake, which they said was a breach of security on their part.

The rude tweet vented their frustration against the fact that the former president in Chile had once again decided to stand in the November elections for the President.

They tweeted, "Our apologies for the last tweet. An unauthorized user sent the message from this account,"  on the official Twitter account. The rude tweet” Bachelet, Bachelet, Bachelet... Is there no other news?”, was erased by Thursday though the apology remained.

Bachelet, is the first Chilean President who ran the office from 2006 to 2010. She also served as the head of UN Women until recently. She came back to her Chile to lead the nation another time as she expressed her intention to participate in the November 17th elections on behalf of the Left-leaning opposition party.

While Chile is already busy with the elections, US has created a major disturbance with the tweet on Social Networks. It beats us how the Twitter account of the US Embassy, more so because US is a nation that doesn't take cyber security lightly, was accessed by unauthorized personnel.
