Computers that can self- recover from crashes

Researchers have developed a computer that is capable of recovering itself right after it crashes while repairing the corrupted data. Scientists from the University College of London, Peter Bently and Christos Sakellariou have created a device which has instructions programmed into it directing the computer on what to do when it crashes.

The device is being dubbed as the systemic computer currently and each system in the device has a memory with context-sensitive information. Other similar systems can communicate with this device even if it has completely corrupt data.

Eschewing the conventional program counter, this device has a pseudoramdom number generator to execute the programs at random times. The devices can work simultaneously and none will have more priority over others.

Each system has more than one account and hence in an event of crash even if one system crashes others will continue to work and repair the systems.
