Bollywood actor Aamir Khan has been roped Transport ministry as Safety Ambassador and soon he will be seen in an ad film campaign. Aamir earlier this week met Transport minister Nitin Gadkari and had a formal discussion about this. According to the government sources, Aamir has accepted the proposal to be the safety ambassador.
The official announcement is expected shortly. Every year about 1.4 lakh people get killed in road accidents and the transport ministry wants to bring in some regulations to reduce the accidents ratio. Aamir who is known for rising social causes, had his views in the issue.
