Hours after quitting, Congress has expelled GK Vasan from the party citing inappropriate statements against the party and its leadership. However, this doesn't affect him but his supporters within the Congress are worried and are looking to quit the party too.

Vasan joined Congress party in 2000 and now he is all set to launch a new political party. According to the sources, Vasan will announce his new party details at a meeting in Trichy which will be held later this month. Currently the progress for the new party is going on.
