Former RSS pracharak Manohar Lal Khattar has been elected the chief minister of Haryana. The BJP's legislative party meeting with the newly elected 47 MLAs today in which Khattar's name came out for the top chair. In fact this is also the debut election for Khattar and he won the election in Karnal by a margin of over 63,000 votes.

Khattar joined the RSS in 1980 and joined the BJP two decades ago. He was instrumental in strengthening the party and was appointed as the chairman of the Haryana election committee for the Lok Sabha elections. Khattar gave many victories to the BJP and finally the party greeted with the ideal role.
