Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar has promised Prime Minister Narendra Modi that he will adopt a village under Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana which was recently launched by the union government. Sachin called upon PM Modi at his official residence in New Delhi earlier today.
On this occasion, Modi congratulated Sachin for his efforts to the 'Swatcch Bharat' campaign, an initiative to clean India. “Met @sachin_rt. He talked about his contribution towards Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan. His efforts towards a Clean India are phenomenal! I am delighted to know that the sporting legend will adopt a village under Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. @sachin_rt,” tweeted Modi.
