Dhoni becomes co-owner of football team

Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has become the latest cricketer to own a football team in the high-profile Indian Super League, investing in the Chennaiyin Football Club [FC]. Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan already owns this football team, with Dhoni's addition, the league and football team gets more value and advantage.

Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly and Virat Kohli are other cricketers who have already invested in the ISL and are co-owners of Kerala Blasters, Atletico de Kolkata and FC Goa respectively.  Ironically, it was football, Dhoni's first love and when his school team needed a wicketkeeper, he shifted his focus to cricket.

The ISL kicks off on October 12 in Kolkata while the final will be held on December 20.
