Sachin offers help to J&K

Former Indian cricketer and Rajya Sabha MP Sachin Tendulkar extended his help to the Jammu and Kashmir flood victims. On Saturday, he sent relief material of Rs 15 lakh to the flood hit region which had water purifiers and medicines. Two trucks carrying material set off to J&K while Sachin is planning to send more material soon.

As per reports, the two truckloads of relief material comprised of 400 water filters, which will supply clean drinking water to 10,000 people daily. Apart from that 100,000 chlorine tablets to purify water for 10,000 households for the next 3 months. There were also 5 tons of eatables [dry food and vegetables apart from 1000 blankets. The legendary cricketer also sanctioned Rupees 25 lakhs to his constituency for the development.  

J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah thanked Sachin for his help.
