Voting has begun in Medak parliamentary constituency in Telangana and Nandigama Assembly constituency in Andhra Pradesh. A total of 14 contesting candidates from Medak parliamentary constituency are in the fray this time. Over 15.43 lakh voters might use their right at 1,817 polling stations in Medak parliamentary.

1.84 lakh voters in Nandigama constituency of Krishna district will go for voting this time. So far, over Rs 1 crore and 4,000 litres of liqour have been seized during the checks in the two constituencies. Both the constituencies recorded more than 75 per cent voting turnout in the 2014 general elections and the election commission officials are expecting above 85 per cent this time.
