The National Judicial Appointments Commission Bill 2014 was passed in Lok Sabha short while ago and will move to Rajya Sabha where the ruling party BJP has no proper majority.  On Tuesday, Lok Sabha had a long debate on the Judicial bill and the Congress party has demanded many amendments in it. But despite, its attempts, BJP ignored all and passed the current bill as it is.

However it is not going to be a cake walk for BJP in the Rajya Sabha where it lacks majority.  Congress is likely to push BJP for amendments and if failed to do, the bill may get stuck just like the women's quota bill.
