Cricket legend and Rajya Sabha MP Sachin Tendulkar was under severe criticism for not making it to the sessions and low percentage of attendance. Few days back, Sachin gave an explanation regarding his absence at a private event stating that his brother Ajith Tendulkar underwent a bypass surgery and so he had to be with family.

Sachin applied for a leave from July 7th to August 14th the day when the sessions end and send a leave letter to Rajya Sabha chairman. The plea was immediately accepted however, Samajwadi Party MP and Satyavrat Chaturvedi of the Congress raised objections over this leave.
