Number of L-1 visas granted to India comes down
Justifying the claims of software giants like Infosys and TCS that they have been finding it difficult to send the Indian professionals on short term visas to the US where their biggest market lies, there was a reduction in the number of L-1 visas granted to the Indians. Data released by an independent organization in the US showed that the approvals given to the L-1 visas were lower by 28 per cent in the year 2011 compared to the previous years.
