Less Footfalls To Tirumala September 28, 2023 20:39

Less Footfalls To Tirumala:- Surprisingly, there has been less footfall in the last two days to Tirumala for Darshan. The hill temple is the second place in the world after Vatican City to have a huge number of pilgrim visits every day, that is to take the darshan of Lord Venkateswara. Suddenly there was a significant decrease in the devotees thronging the temple. On Tuesday, pilgrims with free darshans have escaped long queues and long waiting hours. They bypassed all the waiting compartments and had a very easy darshan. The temple town also saw the same situation even on Wednesday. Pilgrims are lucky they skipped staying at the Vaikuntam queue complex and directly joined the queue lines heading to the Sanctorum. Both days were lucky days for the devotees. Generally, Tirumala pilgrims will often cross the mark of 60,000, but on Tuesday according to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), only 55,747 devotees took darshan of the Lord. Free darshan took less than four hours, whereas people with Sarva darshan tokens have a much smoother experience. Most of the devotees have skipped the regular congestion in the queue. However, the drop in footfall of the Pilgrims did affect the hundi collection, Tirumala temple collected a substantial hundi donation of Rs 4.11 Cr on Tuesday.

In one more plea to the Supreme Court against police custody of Chandrababu Naidu related to the scam of Skill Development Centres, the Court has declined the plea. Senior Advocate Siddharth Luthra said before the Chief Justice of India that Chandrababu Naidu was arrested illegally on September 8th and has been kept in custody since then. He also mentioned that AP police wanted his custody only for two days and then extended it to 14 days and now they are filing FIR after FIR on him. CJI asked Luthra immediately, “What do you want today?” Luthra appealed to the court that his client could not be kept in custody and requested the court to look into Section 17A of the Prevention of Corruption Act. Luthra mentioned that no public servant should be taken into custody for discharging his duties without permission from the competent authority. Ranjit Kumar, who was representing the Andhra Pradesh government, said that this should be decided by the district judge. However, after hearing the arguments, the Supreme Court adjourned the case to the 3rd of October.

Mixed Reactions to Salaar new Release Strategy September 27, 2023 19:36

Mixed Reactions to Salaar new Release Strategy:- A bunch of films have been announced for Christmas release in Telugu. Nani's Hi Nanna, Venkatesh's Saindhav and Nithiin's Extra Ordinary Man are in the race. Now, Prabhas' Salaar is releasing on December 22nd. Tollywood producers are not happy with the decision as they announced their films months in advance. Salaar will also have to clash with Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki. SRK is in exceptional form and delivered back-to-back blockbusters. The track record of Prabhas is quite poor post-Baahubali. There are mixed reactions for the release strategy of Salaar. For now, the team is busy with the shoot and the post-production work. There would be an epic clash between Dunki and Salaar for sure but a solo release can do wonders for any film. Prabhas is currently in Europe and he is expected to return back next month. The team of Dunki have no plans of postponing their film and are ready for a clash with Salaar. The announced Telugu films will now have to walk out from Christmas race. The updated release chart is expected soon.

Hope Dims: Chandrayaan 3 fails to wake up:- Even though there was very little chance of the wake of Chandrayaan 3, ISRO and the public of the nation were waiting for its wake-up. Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) was hoping for the wake of Vikram lander and Pragyaan rover with the sunrise at the lunar space on September 22nd. As each hour passed by, the hopes of the lander and rover woke up turned dimmer. ISRO tried to extend the lifespan of the mission by shutting down all the operations of the instruments before the lunar sunset. The rover and lander were kept in sleep mode to sustain the lunar temperatures at lunar night, which is 14 Earth days. There was hope for the battery to charge up again when the sun rose on the Moon. Sadly the Vikram and Prayaan are not designed to sustain at the extreme temperatures on the Moon in the nighttime. The temperature is expected to drop to minus 200 degrees, where the electronics will freeze and be destroyed. Besides this, Chandrayaan 3 was a successful mission. It has revealed that the moon's soil is not really dusty but it is lumpy. Chandrayaan-3 also has sent a huge amount of data regarding the soil, hinting that the soil might help in the potential discovery of water and eventually human habitation.
