Cord ‘milking’ makes blood flow in preterm Caesarean infants June 30, 2015 15:01

According to a recent study, the researchers finds that cord milking is efficient than delayed cord clamping for improving blood flow in premature infants delivered by caesarean. The study is published online in Pediatrics.According to the National Institutes of Health study, the technique, known as cord milking, consists of encircling the cord with thumb and forefingers, gently squeezing, and slowly pushing the blood through the cord to the infant's abdomen. For the study, the researcher’s team enrolled 197 infants, of which 154 were delivered by Caesarean, with 75 assigned at random to the umbilical cord milking group and 79 assigned to the delayed clamping group. They found that cord milking technique improved the blood flow in preterm infants by Caesarean section. "The study results are very encouraging and the results need to be confirmed in a larger number of births, but it appears that umbilical cord milking may prove to be of great benefit to preterm infants delivered via Caesarean" said Tonse Raju, chief of National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, NICHD's pregnancy and perinatology branch.By Lizitha

This made Naidu quit the programme as he might felt that, he would not get equal importance as of Telangana Chief Minister KCR.  The President will attend a reception at Raj Bhavan today. So AP CM might be planning to meet the president in the reception. On July 1st Mukherjee will visit Tirupati to pay obeisance at Tirumala temple. India to decriminalise Section 377 June 30, 2015 12:16

India mulls towards abolishing Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code that criminalises gay liaisons and the legalisation of same-sex marriages may be considered, Union law minister DV Sadananda Gowda said. “The mood appears to be in favour of it. But it can be done only after widespread consultations and taking all views into account,” Gowda said. Gowda was speaking in the context of the US Supreme Court's historic verdict in the last week that has legalised the same-sex unions and the positive reception it got on the social media in India. While referring to a private member’s bill on the rights of transgender people, Gowda said, “That bill has been passed by the Rajya Sabha and everyone supported it. If that bill is passed by the Lok Sabha and becomes an act, Section 377 will become irrelevant.”Tiruchi Siva of the DMK, who has moved the bill, said, “The bill does not talk about Section 377 or anything other than the rights of Transgenders. I am always optimistic that rights of others will also get due importance." The minister's interpretation of the legislation on transgenders, appears to be somewhat off the mark. Tiruchi Siva told that he had limited his Bill to just the educational, economic, employment and health rights of transgenders."Siva's Bill was taken forward by three Lok Sabha members with varied political leanings, Shobha Karandlaje of BJP, NK Premachandran of Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP) and Baijayant Panda of Biju Janata Dal (BJD). Karandlaje and Premachandran said the issue of Section 377 and gay rights are not on their radar.Panda said the issue of Section 377 was tangential to their Bill, but added that conferences were being lined up on legal and legislative action needed on the matter. He said: "It is time for the debate on (Section) 377 to reflect what the Constitution guarantees for every Indian - which is equality."By Premji

Revanth Reddy and team are granted bail June 30, 2015 11:23

The High Court granted the bail to TDP MLA Revanth Reddy and other members, who are allegedly involved in cash for vote scam. It is known that, Revanth Reddy applied for the bail, saying that his investigation by the ACB officials has already completed. For the past few days, after several postponements, the judgment is finally out today. After the proper scrutiny, the court granted the bail to Reddy and other two members, Uday Simha and Sebastian, who are involved in the cash for vote scam.     Though the prosecution lawyer argued that, Revanth Reddy might use his influence to destroy the evidence relating to the case, if he was sent out, the court did not accept the argument of the lawyer and granted the bail to Reddy and his team. However the team was ordered to surrender the passport and asked them to be only in Kodangal, Hyderabad.   If all the formalities gets completed, Revanth Reddy might be out today itself. Yesterday the Stephenson petition against Matthaiah was cancelled and today, Revanth Reddy was issued the bail. It seems, the TDP officials’ prayers on the case are getting a result now. On the other hand the Telangana government is gradually losing the hope on the case and might finally be cornered in it, if the same happy showers continues to fall on the TDP government. So the opinions keep on changing whenever I watch any good film.” Yes to survive in the film, and that too as a top most director like Rajamouli cannot open up on his favourite hero, as the other stars or at least their fans might take it otherwise.    Baahubali Malayalam version audio was released recently and the movie unit participated in the event amidst of flooded fans.
