“Online Chat” Launched By IT Dept To Answer Taxpayers Queries:- An “online chat” service has been launched by the Income Tax (IT) Department for taxpayers. This new service is implemented so that the taxpayers can seek answers to their basic queries and doubts relating to direct tax issues. On the main page of the department’s website - www.incometaxindia.gov.in/, a window has been opened with a prominent icon stating “Live Chat Online- ask your query”. “A team of experts from the department and independent tax practitioners has been deputed to answer the general queries of a taxpayer. This first-time initiative is aimed to enhance taxpayer services in the country,” the officer said. Based on the feedback received by the department, more features would be added to the online chat system, said the officer. A person can enter the ‘chat room’, by furnishing an email-id and ask questions as a guest. “An option has also been provided to the taxpayer for emailing the entire chat to their ids for future reference,” the officer said. However, a precautionary note at the starting of the chat states: “The replies are based on the opinion of the expert and in no manner it should be interpreted as the clarification by the Income-tax Department on any matter.” A new dedicated directorate within its establishment had been set up the IT department last year, to monitor and resolve grievances of tax payers. It also means mental and financial torture, which can be attributed to Yuvraj. Yuvraj was a mute spectator to the suffering caused to my client by Zoravar and his mother.” “When Yuvraj and Zoravar’s mother was pressurising Akanksha to have a baby, Yuvraj too had joined in to do the same. He too told Akanksha ‘to have a baby’. He was hand-in-glove with his mother. Yuvraj would even tell her that she should obey his mother because she was the most superior person in the house. Kerala HC Upholds BCCI Appeal On Sreesanth October 18, 2017 13:09

Kerala HC Upholds BCCI Appeal On Sreesanth:- The appeal made by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) against the earlier single bench verdict was upheld by a division bench of the Kerala High Court on Tuesday. The verdict that lifted the life ban on the former Indian pacer S Sreesanth in August this year. A judicial review on the life ban imposed by the BCCI cannot be conducted by the court, ruled a division bench of Chief Justice Navniti Prasad Singh, and hence the appeal was upheld. For the past two days, the appeal petition was heard by the court and delivered its verdict. The verdict for the time being ended his hopes of not just playing for Kerala Ranji side in its upcoming matches. But the practice sessions at any place that comes under the BCCI or any state cricket association, cannot be undertaken by him. Addressing the media, Kerala Cricket Association (KCA) secretary Jayesh George said that ever since the ban was lifted, Sreesanth was supported by KCA. “We had made arrangements for him to undergo a full fitness test so as to make him match fit. Now with this verdict, we will now have to respect it,” said George. Approaching the apex court is the only available option available for Sreesanth, and the bowler is likely to go in appeal against this verdict, according to sources. The Delhi High Court, in 2015, exonerated the now 34-year-old pacer along with two other players in the case registered by Delhi Police which invoked the Maharashtra Control of Organized Crime Act (MCOCA). But, a life ban was slapped by the BCCI Disciplinary Committee headed by the present Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. He approached the Kerala HC, following this. The ban was lifted on Sreesanth on August 7. This indeed could be be a shocking blow to former Indian pacer S Sreesanth. SUPRAJA
