HC Suspends Nine Judicial Employees July 01, 2016 09:42

District judges and the High Court on Thursday suspended nine employees working in subordinate courts in the state for participating in the protests by judicial employees and T-advocates.Among those suspended are Judicial Employees National Association secretary B. Lakshma Reddy, Telangana State Judicial Employees Association president Jagannatham and general secretary Rajasekhar Reddy. Four office bearers of Ranga Reddy district judicial employees association, along with two other employees of the lower judiciary in the state were also suspended. The judicial employees association has earlier given a call for strike from July 1.  All the advocates protested the suspensions of employees and the judicial officers  48 judicial employees from Kukatpalli court and 12 from Ibrahimpatnam court have submitted their resignation letters to their district association president.Meanwhile the T advocates and judicial officers continued their agitation on Thursday and plan to hold a maha dharna at Indira Park on Friday. Planned Mass Killing in Hyderabad: ISIS Suspects July 01, 2016 09:34

Hyderabad: The five ISIS terror suspects, who were arrested on Thursday have confessed to National Investigation Agency and Telangana Intelligence officials that they had planned “mass killing” in Hyderabad before Id.Their handler, Shafi Armar, was to give them final instructions on making live bombs from Syria over Skype or video call in one of their houses. An official said “Shafi used to show how to make the bombs and they used electronic scales to weigh the IED ingredients”.They were awaiting orders from Shafi and had tentatively fixed the evening of Saturday, July 2 to carry out the terror strikes in Hyderabad.TS Intelligence department said, “They had purchased firearms and some explosives in Maharashtra and other chemicals like urea and Hydrogen Peroxide in Hyderabad. They had gloves, masks, electronic balance and other material to make Improvised Explosive Devices. Suicide bomber attacks police convoy, Kills 40, injures many June 30, 2016 15:48

A suicide bomber has attacked Afghan police convoy in Kabul, killing at least 40 people. two bombs hit the vehicles carrying police cadets on the western outskirts of the Afghan capital. Paghman District Governor Haji Mohammad Musa Khan said many more had been injured.The terrorist had targeted an Afghan military convoy outside the city of Kabul which directly resulted in the death of more than 40 people.The Afghanistan Internal Affairs Ministry spokesperson Sediq Sediqqi tweeted after the attack and said “we are working on details of today’s terrorist attacks on Police convoy in Kabul, we will release updates shortly.”The attack was quickly confirmed by the Taliban’s spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid, who claimed “many were killed and wounded”."Initial information we have is that two suicide bombers were involved and there are many casualties," A police official said."We are still investigating the precise nature of the blast, whether it was suicide attack, car bomb or whatever -- we do not know it at the moment," a senior official said.   (Video Source: NTV Telugu)By Premji

The defending champions Patna Pirates, with the help of their raider Pradeep Narwal’s outstanding performance of scoring 18 raid points, registers their second win of the fourth season of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League on Wednesday.In the second half, Patna managed to continue their form and took a lead of 27-17 despite Rishank Devadiga’s super raid for U Mumba in the second half as they were trailing 27-31. U Mumba did perform well at the ending stage of the game as they managed to get a lead 34-33 thanks to Devadiga’s superb performance, although they couldn’t manage to get the victory as Pradeep Narwal came for the rescue and scored two points in the final raid which took the final score to 36-34, a close victory for Patna Pirates. U Mumba skipper Anup Kumar was shown a Green Card by a referee for talking during a raid at the sixth minute of the first half.  Earlier in the first half, the raider Pradeep Narwal’s outstanding play gave an inch more to Patna than U Mumba despite some great efforts by their defenders in the first half, especially by Rakesh Kumar who helped the team to get their first super tackle. U Mumba scored four super tackles in the first half which was led by their defender Jeeva Kumar. However, Patna Pirates managed to get an all out in the 17th minute and took the lead 14-12. Telugu Titans Faced A Defeat Against Jaipur Pink Panther By 4 Points June 30, 2016 11:50

In their first match of the fourth season of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League, Jaipur Pink Panthers despite a slow performance in the first of the game, managed to drop down Telugu Titans and registered their first win in the first of the season by 28-24 on Wednesday at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.Panthers overwhelmingly cut down the attacks by Titans led by Athul M S and Sandeep Narwal to get the score from 18-16 to 21-17. At 32nd minute Panthers successfully managed to get an all out which almost ended the task for the Titans. The owner Abhishek Bacchan was looking overjoyed after the win in the first match of the season. Much like their captain Jasvir Singh, Pink Panthers, played brilliantly, after increasing the quality of the game which was missing in the first half. Both the teams were equal on 12-12 at the end of the first part of the game. Both the Panthers and their captain Javsir picked up the pace in the second phase of the game and turned the game towards them against the Titans. Balakrishna escaped unhurt after car accident June 30, 2016 10:36

Actor Nandamuri Balakrishna has escaped unhurt after the car he travelling hit divider on Wednesday.  The incident took place on his return from Anantapur to Bangalore. After participating in a few programmes in Chilamattur Mandal in Hindupur, Balayya was heading to Bangalore International Airport via highway. According to reports, Balakrishna himself was behind the wheels and he had tried to avoid the vehicle coming in the opposite direction during when he lost control of his car and it has hit the divider. As per cops, there were five persons in the car and all have escaped without any injuries.  However, the car was reportedly damaged.Immediately, Balakrishna was sent to Bangalore in another car. ABVP and TGVP Protest in Nalgonda June 30, 2016 10:19

Students’ unions ABVP and TGVP staged a protest in front of the house of district Minister Jagadish Reddy in Suryapet on Wednesday. They raised slogans against the government and the Minister for failing to control the fee collections by private schools in the State. The leaders of the organizations demanded the government implementation of the Right to Education in private schools, which allots 25 percent of total seats of private schools to poor students free of cost. Addressing the gathering, student leaders alleged that the government is favoring corporate institutions by ignoring the interests of poor rural students, who are pursuing education without basic amenities and staff.  They demanded the government improvement of facilities and provision of required staff in government schools and colleges to realise the dream of Golden Telangana. The world's largest uncut diamond, Lesedi la Rona was put for auction at London. It has failed to sell at a London auction after bids did not reach the minimum reserve price.The Lesedi la Rona, which means "our light" in the Tswana language spoken in Botswana, was discovered by Lucara Diamond Corp's Karowe mine. It is almost the size of a tennis ball and was unearthed in Botswana in November. The rough diamond is 1,109 carats and believed to be more than 2.5 billion years old.It had been expected to sell for more than £52m ($70m) but the highest bid was about £45m ($61m).The auction at Sotheby's was the first time a rough diamond of such a size has gone on public sale.The auction house had called its discovery "the find of a lifetime" and earlier said that "every aspect of this auction is unprecedented". After it failed to sell, the Canada-based company which has retained possession of the diamond saw its stock fall more than 14% on the Toronto Stock Exchange.Stones in this group are said to be "the most chemically pure and often show extraordinary optical transparency".
