It was then Vijay Mallya moved out of the country to UK and he has been residing there. Indian government managed to seize his passport but could not convince the UK Government to bring Vijay Mallya back to the country. Indian Delegation which has been lead by the Ministry of External Affairs met the delegates in UK personally. They even met the legal department personally and discussed about bring back Vijay Mallya to India. Akkineni’s handsome young lad Akhil Akkineni made his debut with Akhil however the movie ended up as a massive disappointment. Fire Mishap in Aircooler Assembly Factory February 22, 2017 11:36

A fire broke-out in the ‘A1 Air-Coolers’, a small scale unit made of iron-sheets, that manufactures air-cooler at Attapur under Rajendranagar police limits in Hyderabad in the early hours of Wednesday. The incident happened at around 5 AM when the workers, all from Odisha, were sleeping in the shed. At least six people were burnt alive. Rajendranagar assistant commissioner of police Gangi Reddy said that the preliminary investigations revealed that the fire broke out due to short-circuit in the air-cooler. The fire engulfed the entire area before the workers could have escaped. Police suspect that the workers had bolted the door from inside, which could have restricted their exit. The neighbours alerted the police, who had called four fire tenders to bring the fire under control. The correct number of workers who were inside the unit is not known. Four of the deceased were identified as Irphan, Saddam, Sharukh and Ayub Khan. The bodies of the others are not identified yet. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation authorities are clearing the debris to search to ascertain any more bodies under the rubble. Reddy said that owner of the air-cooler manufacturing unit Pramod Kumar is taken into custody and an investigation was on. By Premji

Kodandaram’s Arrest heats up Telangana February 22, 2017 11:10

After the Telangana government rejected the request of Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) which planned to conduct a massive protest for the proposed Nirudyogula Nirasana Pradarsana (Unemployed Protest Rally). After the request has been rejected TJAC Chairman, Proff Kodandaram has been arrested at 3AM at his residence by breaking the house doors of the leader. Cops managed to close all the routes heading to Hyderabad and also hundreds of protestors have been arrested across the state. Barricades have been placed at district borders and most of them have been sent back from there before reaching the state’s capital. High Court judge suggested Kodandaram to shift the venue to Nagole, he announced that the protest will not stop and it will take place in the city. Even Kodandaram said no after he has been suggested to postpone his rally for Sunday.

More trouble for Sasikala, 13 more month if fine not paid February 21, 2017 17:31

AIADMK leader Sasikala, will have to serve 13 more months in prison, if she fails to pay a fine of Rs 10 crore imposed by the Supreme Court. "Sasikala Natarajan will have to pay Rs 10 crore and if she fails to pay the punitive amount imposed by the Supreme Court, she will have to serve 13 more months in the jail," Prisons Superintendent Krishna Kumar said in a statement. "The convicts, Sasikala, Illavarasi and Sudhakaran are getting (the same) treatment in the jail as others are getting and they have not been given any special treatment," Kumar said. Sasikala will have to be in jail for three years and 11 months, out of the four years sentence awarded by the trial court. She had earlier spent 21 days in the Parappana Agrahara jail after the conviction by the trial court in September 2014. Sasikala and Illavarasi have been lodged in the women's block and they are living in a small cell. Kumar said. Sudhakaran is lodged in the men's block, he said. Food prepared in jail was being served to them and prison doctors were regularly conducting medical checkups and administering medicines to them, Kumar said. Rs 1000 notes to make a come back February 21, 2017 16:02

RBI is planning to remonetise the Rs 1000 notes shortly. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) may introduce a new series of Rs 1,000 notes, to replace the earlier notes of similar denomination. RBI has already started the production of new Rs 1,000 notes. An unofficial, statement says that the note is supposed to be introduced in January, but “it has been delayed due to the pressing need to supply Rs 500 notes”. It is not clear when the new Rs 1,000 note will be introduced. As on 2017, January 27, notes in circulation, comprising all denominations including Rs 2,000 and Rs 500, were at an amount of Rs 9.92 lakh crore, RBI Deputy Governor R Gandhi said. The RBI has not released any data on the total value of Rs 500 and Rs 2000 notes in circulation. RBI Governor Urjit Patel has said that the specific data on the value of new notes released into the economy will be disclosed soon. Number of steps have been taken to smoothen the cash crunch following the demonetisation. From February 20 onwards, the limit on cash withdrawals from savings bank accounts are being increased to Rs 50,000 per week from the earlier limit of Rs 24,000 per week.
