Tamannaah Talks about her Upcoming Horror Flick September 27, 2016 15:46

Tamannaah’s Abhinetri, a horror comedy, which is releasing in three languages Telugu, Tamil and Hindi, has her playing dual roles as Devi and Ruby. “This is not a completely horror film, but it’s an entertainment. There is a ghost in the film, but it does not scare anyone,” affirms Tamannah. The actress says that this is the last time that she is doing a tri-lingual film since it is tough to work in such films. “Doing a tri-lingual film is not easy. It is very strenuous. Initially, it was planned to be made in Tamil and Hindi only, but I suggested making a Telugu version as I have a market here as well,” says Tamannaah.“I feel as though I have acted in three films, but in reality, we completed the film in a single film schedule. The three languages are so different and the lip sync too is completely different. After doing a scene for Telugu, I had to do it in Tamil and Hindi separately. I was exhausted doing the same scene three times in three different ways,” confesses the actress. The actress has also done a special song in an upcoming film Jaguar. When asked about it, she says, “We have already finished the shooting. I think people enjoy my dance numbers. I still don’t understand why, in the South, people think negatively about a top actress appearing in a special song. There is no such problem in Hindi films - Deepika, Katrina and Kareena often do item numbers. The problem is only in the South and I want to break it. When a song is choreographed in a dignified manner, why can’t we do it?” she asks. Incidentally, the teasers of her dance in Abhinetri have already left people spellbound. She adds that actresses of her stature, like Shruti and Kajal, are also doing special numbers and it adds a glamour quotient to the film. “The audience wants to see us in special songs,” she adds. When asked if she was paid a high fee for it, she quickly retorts, “I always charge a high fee.”The actress has a few projects lined up both in Tamil and Telugu. “I have to finish the climax scenes of Baahubali,” she says. When asked about Kattappa killing Baahubali, she says, “I was not there at that time. I don’t think anyone was there while it was being shot. I think Rajamouli completed the scene when he did the first part itself and no one knew the story.” Also Read: Sushant Singh & Dhoni Enjoy Roadside Filter CoffeeBY M. DIVYA SRI

Google Launches YouTube Go, a New Offline App September 27, 2016 14:47

As a part of its Google for India announcements, Google on Tuesday launched a new YouTube app built from the ground up for India, called YouTube Go. The app will slowly roll out, but people can sign up to be notified when YouTube Go launches. According to the YouTube blog, Youtube Go has been built to be offline-first, and to focus on minimising data costs. The app has some interesting new features, such as showing you a preview and the size of a video in MB before you start to play, allowing you to save videos, and to share videos with others even without Internet access. The preview shows you thumbnails from different points in the video so you have an idea of what it is even before you've started to play the video, and showing the size beforehand provides transparency about data usage, whether you're saving or streaming the video.Perhaps the most interesting new feature is sharing though if someone else has the app as well, you can share downloaded YouTube Go videos via Bluetooth, entirely offline.According to YouTube, the recommendations are also being fine-tuned, to take into account your specific location, so that you'll see more suggestions based not just on your country, but on what people in your own locality are viewing. In 2014 YouTube had launched offline mode that allows users to download videos to watch when there was no connectivity, and then in the start of this year, it launched Smart offline which lets users schedule the downloads at night, when operators charge less for data.According to YouTube, these changes reduce the amount of money people have to spend on data, but it was not enough. Building a new app from the ground up has led to an app that's smarter and faster, the company says. The new app will be rolled out in the next couple of months. PM Modi Unveils Variety Turmeric in Delhi September 27, 2016 14:41

Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a variety of turmeric named Pitambar, which gives better yield and has more percentage of commercially viable curcumin in Delhi on Monday. During the platinum jubilee celebrations of Council of Scientific and Industry Research (CSIR) Modi launched the tumeri. Around 200 farmers from the two Telugu states attended the programme through video conferencing at IICT, Tarnaka. With Telangana being one of the largest producers of turmeric, farmers are willing to adopt the variety, said C Parthasarathi, principal secretary of Agriculture Marketing and Co-Operation department. The seed variety would be handed over to farmers next year. After launch of the variety, two farmers from Andhra Pradesh who interacted with PM Modi through video conference, said they would adopt the variety.“The pharmaceutical importance of turmeric is due to its curcuminoids which are credited with anti-inflammatory, hypo-cholesterolemic, anti-oxidant, anti-parasitic, anti-spasmodic, anti-microbial, anti-rheumatic, anti-aging and anti-cancer properties,” a note said. Since curcumin is the main molecule for the increasing demand of turmeric, several varieties of turmeric with increased curcumin content and rhizome biomass have been developed. While curcumin content in these varieties ranges from three to nine per cent, in the Pitambar variety, the percentage is around 12.5 per cent. Turmeric with high content of the chemical is preferred by European nations and North America.“Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (CIMAP), a CSIR institute, did research for eight years to come out with the new variety. India produces 80 per cent of turmeric in the world. In the country, out of 4.5 lakh hectares where turmeric is cultivated, 1.30 lakh hectares is in Telangana,” Parthasarathi said after the PM launched the Pitambar variety. He said “other varieties take around nine months for harvesting while Pitambar takes 180 to 190 days. Private industries which process turmeric will sell products at Spice Park in Nizamabad. After processing the products, export and sale value will be more if curcumin content is more. To establish a relationship between the Spice Park and produce, improved varieties from Tamil Nadu have been brought. If Pitambar variety is brought and 12 per cent curcumin containing turmeric is produced, the park will have a good future.” Also Read: Narendra Modi Lauds Pullela GopichandBY M. DIVYA SRI

50Crs. Ad deal for P.V. Sindhu - a golden offer September 27, 2016 12:26

P V Sindhu, Olympic silver medalist continues to enjoy her victory. Recently Sindhu signed a three-year deal with sports management company Baseline. The deal is estimated worth up to Rs 50 crore.Baseline is a full-service sports marketing, entertainment and brand licensing firm with multiple branches - Gurugram, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Los Angeles and Singapore.Tuhin Mishra, the managing director and co-founder of Baseline, told TOI “this is the best deal signed by an Indian shuttler. Her soaring popularity has attracted the attention of so many companies. In the next three years, we will work to maximise her value. Even after achieving stupendous success, her humility and the value she brings to women power is remarkable.” Mishra, who was to be in Rio to witness Sindhu’s match, couldn’t make it as he has other commitments. But he’s sure of the bond with his client, and in fact he spoke with Sindhu after yesterday’s win.Baseline will now manage Sindhu's brand profiling, licensing, endorsements etc. While 16 companies are said to be keen on Sindhu endorsing their products, Mishra said “she is in the final stages of signing with nine. Ever since Sindhu returned from the Olympics, so many people have been approaching her. In the last few days we've had intense discussion on whom to endorse. So far we have finalised nine companies. Maybe by the end of next week we will be signing with them. As for the rest, we are yet to take a decision.” He added that “a wide range of companies have approached them. We have finalised deals with financial institutions, women-centric brands etc. At this stage I cannot disclose the complete details.”Like her coach Pullela Gopichand, who had refused to endorse Cola brands, Sindhu will also not endorse products which have an adverse influence on youth. "Another important aspect is that she will allocate very limited time for commercials. Her practice time will not be affected," Mishra said.Mishra said “under the deal, Sindhu will receive a certain amount of guarantee money upfront every year while the rest will depend on her endorsements.”Asked to specify exactly how much Sindhu would earn, he said "I can't give a figure now but given the response that we are getting and the sponsors we have on board, Sindhu's will be the best deal that a non-cricket star can get."Even though Mishra doesn’t reveal what a sportsperson like Sindhu earns from a sponsor citing confidentiality clauses in the contract, industry sources estimate it is in the region of Rs 50 lakh to 1.5 crore and that will increase as our sportspersons do well, thereby increasing viewer and spectator interest. “Stop dreaming of Separating Kashmir from India”-Sushma Swaraj September 27, 2016 11:42

Sushma Swaraj India's Minister of External Affairs who addressed the 71st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Monday, advised Islamabad to abandon its dream of separating Kashmir from India.Upon this statement, Pakistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) spokesperson Mohammed Nafees Zakaria questioned Sushma Swaraj "if Kashmir is an integral part of India, why is it on the Agenda of Security Council?""Strange that Indian EAM is disowning the UNSC resolutions and that too at the United Nations. Can Indian EAM explain that if Kashmir is an integral part of India, why is it on the Agenda of Security Council," tweeted Zakaria within a few hours after the EAM concluded her speech?Zakaria continued to tweet after Swaraj showed Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaj Sharif a mirror. She said that “those accusing others of human rights violations would do well to introspect and see what egregious abuses they are perpetrating in their own country, including in Balochistan.”Zakaria said, "Indian EAM's reference to Pakistan's province of Balochistan is a violation of UN principles and international law."Pakistan MoFA spokesperson further tweeted, "Reference to Balochistan is a continuous admission by India of its involvement in subversive activities in Pakistan."Zakaria said, "India trying to divert world attention from its atrocities on defenseless Kashmiris, but her efforts will not succeed."India Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Vikas Swarup, however, defended Swaraj's speech at the UNGA as well-measured and fitting. Swarup tweeted saying “she has expressed New Delhi's vision on all those issues which are crucial to the international community.”Swarup told media that "As you know that our Foreign Minister gives to the point answer and her today's statement was well-measured and fitting, and she expressed India's vision on all those issues that are crucial to the international community"."Moreover, she has said the countries fostering terrorism, financing them and providing them with weapons do not have any place in the international community which, in my opinion, was a very important and powerful message that she delivered today," he added. When asked whether he thought that Pakistan was isolated on the international platform, Swarup said, "That is evident. As you have seen when the Pakistan Prime Minister delivered his speech, his speech got no comments in their support; whereas there is a consensus in the world on India's statement on terrorism and there is a common consensus that fighting terrorism is, at present, utmost necessary."“On Balochistan also, the Foreign Minister commented on the atrocities committed there”, he said. Here is the Speech of Sushma Swaraj Given at UNGA Hon'ble President,On behalf of India and on my own behalf, I congratulate you on your election as President of the 71st United Nations General Assembly. Let me also take this opportunity to thank Secretary General Ban Ki Moon for his services to the United Nations, history's largest peace movement.A year has passed since I stood here at this hallowed podium to address the members of the international community. Since then, much has changed in the world around us – some for the better, some for the worse and much which has been cause of great concern. There can be no better platform to ponder our actions and our achievements over the last year. We must remember that we will be defined not just by our actions, but equally, by our inaction.A number of issues have been debated in this august Assembly - from the necessity of global partnerships in sharing new vaccines and promoting access to affordable drugs to counter anti-microbial resistance, to the need for faster implementation of the Sendai Framework to mitigate the risk of natural disasters. From the challenge of ensuring well-ordered mobility of productive human resources, to the necessity of adequate consultations with Troop Contributing Countries before framing mandates for UN Peacekeeping Operations. But my time is limited. I would therefore, focus only on some of the most pressing issues facing the international community. The true challenge of our time is to end the curse of harsh poverty that still lurks in so many corners of our world; to ensure that the fruits of growing prosperity reach those who need it most; to take forward the mission of gender equality and protect women where there is gender regression; and to ensure peace across boundaries, not least because there can be no prosperity without peace.I congratulate you for the priority you have given to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by making them the theme for the 71st UNGA. I am happy that the 17 goals adopted by this Assembly are matched by the development vision of my Government, which is geared towards the achievement of these same objectives. Under the Swachh Bharat Mission (Clean India Campaign), more than 400,000 toilets have been constructed in schools. The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (Educate the Girl Child, Save the Girl Child) programme has become a nation-wide mission. The Make in India brand is receiving international acclaim. Almost 250 million bank accounts have been opened for the poor under the Jan Dhan Yojana, the largest financial inclusion programme the world has ever seen. Digital India is transforming the country. Under the Skill India initiative, a number of programmes are underway to enable youth to reap the demographic dividend. These initiatives have added a new dimension to India's growth story, making it the fastest growing major economy in the world at a time of slow global growth. We are all aware that 1/6th of humanity lives in India. Therefore global success in realizing SDGs depends on the success achieved in India. We are committed to the wholehearted implementation of the Agenda 2030 as a national effort. We have decided to dedicate one day in each session of our Parliament for discussions only on SDGs. This will enable us to constantly monitor their progress and this will give us good results. However, in a globalised world, national effort needs to be supplemented by international cooperation for the successful implementation of Agenda 2030.Climate change is yet another serious challenge confronting us. There are enough resources on this planet to fulfil everyone's needs, but not enough to fulfil anyone's greed, for greed is limitless. In this context PM Modi has championed a new concept - Climate Justice. If we respect nature, nature will respect and nurture us and future generations. But, if we exploit nature mindlessly, then we must be mindful that nature will unleash its fury upon us. In different parts of the world, we have already seen nature drift towards the unnatural - from torrential rain to excessive heat, from tsunamis to storms and cloudbursts. GHMC with full proof evidence along with police held this demolition drive. In the first phase of the drive, all constructions made on drainage were demolished. In the second phase, all the illegal constructions will be demolished today.Telangana government is quite serious on this issue. GHMC had issued many notices and warnings but still builders continued to construct. GHMC also gave strict orders that no political party or leader should get involved in this matter.GHMC chief city planner S. Devender Reddy said that “section 405 gives powers to the civic body to remove encroachments without serving notices if the structure, temporary or permanent, is on any street, open channel, drain, well or tank. GHMC will initially target buildings and structures in which people are not living currently mostly commercial and upcoming residential projects.” Mr. Devender Reddy said that “We have prepared a unified report based on Voyants Solutions and Kirloskar, and our field officials, during the recent floods, have identified prioritized structures obstructing the flow of water in the nalas. At present, we are not touching dwellings, residential apartments, and houses where people are living as we need to work out rehabilitation. Our focus is on commercial structures and upcoming residential projects that are being constructed on nalas or abetting nalas on public land.”He added that “the GHMC need not serve notices and can directly demolish the structures. Section 405 (a) reads: Any wall, fence, rail, post, step, booth or other structure whether fixed or movable and whether a permanent or a temporary nature, or any fixture which shall be erected or set up in or over any street, any open channel, drain, well or tank contrary to the provisions of HMC act. Section 405 of the Act enables the Municipality to remove unauthorized structures where there is no dispute about the ownership of the Municipality in respect of that land or property.”Hyderabad police commissioner S. Mahender Reddy has also ordered all zonal DCPs and ACPs to provide tight security to the demolition squads. Mr. Devender Reddy said that “removing the encroachments and widening the nalas as per topographical maps would be done simultaneously. This time, we are determined. Overnight we can’t demolish all the structures. Our target is that by next monsoons we will clean up most structures on nalas, tanks, and lake beds.” The Deccan Chronicle reported that even major realtors were guilty of encroachment in various parts of the city. The DC report states:NSK Constructions’ multi-storey building at Madinaguda owned by realtor Chandra Shekar Azad, the Banjara Fun-ction Hall and Maram Constructions at L.B. Nagar, Venkatapuram Colony, are examples of realtors encroaching on the nalas. The illegal sections of all these buildings were demolished on Monday during the GHMC’s demolition drive.Earlier, KCR, as the Telangana chief minister is commonly known as,  told reporters after a review meeting that 25 flying squads will be constituted to clear 28,000 encroachments on 'nalas' as they were obstructing the flow of storm water, leading to flooding of roads and residential areas even during light or moderate rains. The chief minister made it clear that the government will go ahead with the drive and interference of any minister, lawmaker or any other politician will not be tolerated.Alleging that previous governments allowed the encroachments on drains and in lakes, he sought cooperation from people, all political parties and media. If poor had encroached 'nalas' and built houses, they will be provided houses under double bed-room house scheme of the government, he said. Also Read: Demolition of Sonia Gandhi's TempleBY M. Tata Motors Won't Discontinue the Bolt Hatchback September 26, 2016 16:43

Despite low sales of the Bolt hatchback, Tata Motors has officially stated that it won't discontinue the Bolt hatchback, after rumors surfaced that it would. As Tata Motors revised its plans of launching the Bolt Sports, it led to rumors that it would discontinue the Bolt as well. However, it is now made clear that Tata Motors will continue to have the Bolt sold in India. It was through the Bolt hatchback that Tata Motors brought in its IMPACT design language, which has influenced most of the current Tata models that led to some great sales as with the Tata Tiago.Even for the Bolt, the new design language gave it immediate success, while the sales declined considerably after a while. Though introduced in January 2015, Tata Motors has since had only 17,000 units sold of the Bolt hatchback. The Bolt, Tiago, Zest and the soon-to-be-launched Tata Kite 5 bear similar design traits, including the front fascia. With the Bolt, the design became more fluid than the solid-design previous generation models of the Tata Motors. The fluid design has well-lined side profile, aesthetic front-grille, sculpted fog lamp provisions, sweptback headlights, sloping A-pillar and blackened B-and-C-pillars. The rear design looks the most attractive with black bumper-cladding, high-ground clearing stance, well-designed bootlid and rear spoiler. The Tata Bolt comes with both petrol and diesel-powered engines with the 1.2-litre Revotron turbocharged mill making 84 bhp of power at 5,000 rpm and 140 Nm of torque at 1,750-3,500 rpm. The diesel mill, on the other hand, makes 73 bhp and 190 Nm of torque. Both the engines get mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. It also gets the Multidrive option, which is attractive for the buyers. The Bolt is also expected to be relegated to the fleet vehicles, while it also has an export market in Nepal. Also Read: Toyota is Making ABS and EBD Standard in all its Manufacture Source: Vicky.in
