After mega family, Dasari's fresh controversy May 04, 2015 12:59

Dasari Narayana created a storm in mega family by his sensational comments on Pawan kalyan saying that he is after NTR and ANR. This led to controversy saying that how he could miss out Chiranjeevi in that list. Now he is again back into fresh controversy.Dasari is celebrating  his birthday this Monday, that is on May 4th. Speaking to the media houses, Dasari said that producers are facing huge losses through the films, the way to eradicate this is simple, but they are not in a position to follow that. None of the film crew are available at one place.  'Heroines stay in Mumbai, technicians reside in Chennai and heroes live between four walls”. After the film is released, he comes to know about the collections his movie is receiving and thus hikes his remuneration which puts the producer in problem. But the fact is not able to come out. To pay the heroes and the other artists, producers are deciding to cutting down the ads for the cost control. He opines that this is not at all fair.Instead Dasari opined to cut down the unnecessary costs like flight tickets to heroines, their other allotments between the breaks of shooting schedules and so. All these can be controlled as it does not disturb the movie quality in anyway. But there is no use in cutting down the ads, as it might lead to huge losses for the movies,if there is no proper promotion to it.   By Phani

Insomnia linked to chronic pain tolerance May 04, 2015 12:12

According to a new study, it was revealed that people who have sleep problems are more sensitive to pain. The study was conducted on more than 10,400 adults from an ongoing Norwegian health study. Out of all of the participants, 10.5 percent had what the researchers considered an insomnia disorder.  Each adult was subjected to a standard test of pain sensitivity, the cold pressor test, in which subjects are asked to keep their hand submerged in a cold water bath. The results showed that 42 percent of patients who had insomnia took their hands out of the water before the 106 seconds were up, whereas only 31 percent of all of the participants did so. It showed increased sensitivity to pain was greater in those with severe insomnia. The link between sleep problems and chronic pain appeared especially pronounced, according to the study. The patients with both severe insomnia and chronic pain were more than twice as likely to take their hands out of the water early as participants who had neither condition. But the total amount of time that people spent sleeping showed no effect on their pain tolerance. Future research should look into not only clinical implications, but also the role of neurotransmitters in the co-occurrence of sleep disorders and pain, the authors said. The study was published in the journal Pain.By Lizitha

Researchers from Monash University in Australia, in collaboration with Italian coffee roasting company Illycaffe have found that coffee has good amount of antioxidants that kills damaging free radicals in our body.  The researchers have observed the behaviour of free radicals and antioxidants during every stage of the coffee-brewing process, from intact bean to coffee brew. For the first time it was discovered that under certain conditions coffee can act as an antioxidant, a compound found in foods that helps stabilise free radicals. "Our research studied both the Arabica coffee bean itself and what happens to its stable free radical and antioxidant properties during the brewing process," said lead researcher Gordon Troup from Monash University."The findings provide a better understanding of the potential health benefits of coffee, as well as a deeper knowledge of the roasting process ultimately leading to the highest quality cup of coffee," Troup added. The results are published in the journal PLOS ONE which helps in deeper understanding of the brewing process, as well as the potential health benefits of coffee. Parental training improves behaviour of autistic children May 04, 2015 11:13

Autistic children behave in a different manner when compared to the normal kids. They are often misunderstood by others and this makes life more difficult for kids. But the research has proved that Children suffering from autism spectrum disorder show improved behaviour when their parents are trained with specific, structured strategies to manage tantrums, aggression, self-injury, and non-compliance. Defined by impaired social communication and repetitive behaviour, autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a chronic condition that begins in early childhood. The researchers examined 180 children randomly by assigning them between the ages of three and seven with ASD and behavioural problems to either a 24-week parent training program, or a 24-week parent education program. Parent education provided up-to-date and useful information about ASD, but no instruction on how to manage behavioural problems."Our study shows that parent training is also helpful for improving behavioural problems such as irritability and non-compliance in young children with ASD," said Denis Sukhodolsky, assistant professor at the Yale University in the US. "Both groups showed improvement, but parent training was superior on measures of disruptive and non-compliant behaviour," James Dziura, associate professor at Yale, pointed out.The study was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association.By Lizitha
