If you don't smile, pay Rs.1 lakh as fine May 26, 2015 13:56

Whenever we are in sorrow, few of our friends ask us to get back soon and smile. But smiling  might not be possible in few situations. But in Oxford, the people are forced to smile, and if at all they failed in it, Oxford imposes fine. The buskers (People who play music in the streets and begs money) in Oxford have to smile and entertain the people and themselves in the streets. Otherwise a fine of  £1,000 (approximately Rs.100000) would be collected from such buskers who failed to smile. Oxford has further assured the buskers to use street furniture, such as public seats, lamp posts, railings  and can sell CD's and also ask for money after performing the music. The only big condition of it is, not to obstruct highways as it causes a heavy disturbance to the traffic. In a trend where the people are genius in making people cry, breaking that trend, Oxford is aiming at making the people smile. I think a hats off sign is needed towards Oxford now. By Phani

Group chatting do not disturb you now! May 26, 2015 13:43

Few of us feel embarrassed when we observe a group, chatting among themselves, as we feel that they might be discussing about us.In fact, it is not only about a group, any two people, whom we observe talking to each other we might feel that they are discussing about us. In those times, we might almost go mad in knowing the summary of their chatting, without which we can't even sleep or eat.Though, the group spoke about us or not, keeping that point aside, to overcome this sort of problem, let's try this tip.First of all, we should believe in ourselves completely and make sure we did all our tasks without any flaws. If we found any flaws, we should try to learn better and make sure we do not commit it again. Then we gain a confidence that we are capable of learning from our mistakes which takes us forward. If people still have a problem with us, remember, it is their problem, not ours.   By Phani

Basha 2 on the floors? May 26, 2015 12:52

Basha, one of the remarkable films to Rajini, his fans and in fact to the Indian cinema. It is now heard that he is planning for a sequel to the film. Previously, there are many gossips that rounded the film industry regarding this project, but none were proved to be true. In fact, it was heard that, Rajini opined that a remake to such a big hit film is very risky and so dropped the project. But it seems to be like Rajini is essaying a similar role in P.A. Ranjith's film. According to the sources, Rajini is playing a role of an underworld don in the film. If that is true , then there is an every chance of this role to be identified with Rajini's Basha. So, it is obviously a big challenge to Ranjith to direct Rajini in this role. Hope he do not drop the confidence of Rajini and thus gain the hearts of millions of Rajini fans with this remarkable Rajini's character in the film. By Phani

Mahesh film's title confirmed May 26, 2015 12:35

From the past few days, there are many titles that are doing rounds in the Film Nagar circles regarding Mahesh and Koratala Siva movie. Few said, it would be 'Srimanthudu' and a title called 'Magaadu' is coined later and it was heard that Mahesh gave his nod for 'Magaadu'. But later, the makers felt that the sounding of the title is embarrassing and so to avoid controversies, the makers dropped that title. Later a classy title called 'Ma Akka Bangaram' seems to be apt for the concept of the film. But keeping Mahesh's mass image in mind, even this title had to be dropped.  Finally, as Srimanthudu is anyway the tentative title and is already popular among the fans, the makers had confirmed the same title for the film now. Regarding this, the official announcement would be made on Krishna's birthday, that is on May 31st, where even the first look of Mahesh in the film would also be out.   By Phani

More skeletons of telecom scams spills out by Ex-TRAI Chief May 26, 2015 12:22

Former Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) chairman Pradip Baijal has claimed in a self-published book, that former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had threatened him and even warned him of "harm" if he did not cooperate in the 2G scam."They (CBI) had warned me in each case (cases related to 2G scam and disinvestments) that I would be harmed if I didn't cooperate. Incidentally, this was exactly what the eminent economist Prime Minister (Manmohan Singh) had told me would happen if I did not cooperate in their scheme of things in the 2G case," quoted Baijal from his book 'The Complete Story of Indian Reforms: 2G, Power and Private Enterprise - A Practitioner's Diary'.Baijal claimed that the PM dismissed his concerns in 2004, over Dayanidhi Maran being appointed as telecom minister as a case of conflict of interest, since Maran is a broadcaster and TRAI had been made broadcasting regulator in 2004. Baijal said that Maran told him that he is the "Prime Minister, Telecom" and warned that he would face "harm" if he did not follow his instructions."In 2003, the government had asked me to give the Unified Service Licensing (USL) recommendations within 6 months. I gave the recommendation in a year. The government had told me not to give the recommendation. But I felt would get into serious trouble if I didn't give the recommendation. So I gave it," Baijal told. "After that, I was not treated properly," he said."The problem with that recommendation was that it did not support the old USL regime. The old regime continued which led to the 2G scam. People tried to implicate me in the scam. I was not concerned with the scam. I'd left TRAI in 2006 whereas the scam took place in 2007 and 2008," he added."It's a predictable coincidence that on the first anniversary of PM Modi's government, Baijal has explained everything," BJP spokesperson MJ Akbar told. "We are talking about the highest in the land when we talk about the Prime Minister. This is evidence of everything the BJP has been saying. This is evidence of the most shocking truth, of corruption, of the most venomous kind which had become a cancer in the UPA," he said. "This brings to an end the nonsense Congress has started about BJP being pro-corporate. It is actually Congress, which is really hand in glove with massively corrupt crony capitalists," Akbar said.Congress spokesperson Rashmi Kanth said, "It is rather surprising that Baijal is disclosing all this 7 to 8 years later, on the eve of the first anniversary of the Modi government. He is just following the line of the BJP to defame the UPA. Has the then Prime Minister confirmed this? How can you take Mr Baijal's views at face value?"The UPA government, which was neck deep in corruption was voted out by the people of this country. Now that more and more dirty linen of scams is coming out. The congress has a Vice President has gone absconding in the name of sabbatical for 56 days, while the Indian Prime Minister was on foreign visit to bring in FDI which will create job opportunity for the educated youth. Family members are actual oppositions to KCR! May 26, 2015 12:13

Are the KCR family members against him?, are they in a thought of joining hands with KCR?. These are the questions that are doing rounds among the party members and also the followers of TRS.The source for the above question was drawn when the Telangana Chief Minister KCR's nephew, Ch. Umesh Rao met Rahul Gandhi in Delhi. Umesh, who is a Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) is silent on many issues of TRS government. His voice was very rarely heard by the media. In this situation, his meeting with Rahul is paving the way for many gossips. There is an every chance for the reason behind the meeting to be negative to TRS as it seems to be like Umesh is disappointed with KCR. Umesh alleges KCR's governmentWithout much gap, after meeting Rahul, Umesh spoke to the media saying, "KCR government is cheating the public. Not even a single promise KCR made at the time of elections was kept by him. No other government was targeted by High court as much as TRS, so at least it would be better if the government is aware of all these and concern about the people.""OU lands should not be used for the construction of houses for the poor, choosing some other places in the  city would be better on the part of government", he further added.     Not only Umesh, but other family members of KCR like his brother's daughter Regulapati Ramya are also against the government and that might be the reason for her to join in Congress. So basing all these, it can be understood that the family members of KCR are slowly diverting towards Congress. On the other hand, the latter party who is silent all these days is now able to raise its voice. The political critics opine that, the weakness of TRS party is turning as the strength to Congress to proceed further. If the latter party uses this opportunity, within no time, it can make its presence felt in the state. By Phani

Switzerland taking necessary action on black money issue May 26, 2015 11:58

Swiss Federal Tax Administration (FTA) has initiated action in the case of black money deposited in the country. The names have been made public by Switzerland in its official gazette for being probed in their respective countries. Two Indian women have figured among the scores of foreign nationals who have accounts with Swiss banks, whose names have been made public by Switzerland. Swiss Federal Tax Administration (FTA) has asked the two Indians whose names have been made public, to file an appeal within 30 days before the Federal Administrative Court, if they do not want their details to be shared with the Indian authorities under their 'mutual assistance' treaty on tax matters. No further details, other than their dates of birth were made public for the two "Indian nationals" named Sneh Lata Sawhney and Sangita Sawhney. 40 such 'final notices' have been published in the Swiss Federal Gazette so far this month, while more such names are expected to be published in the coming days. There are no immediate reply to the queries from the FTA spokesperson in this regard, but these names are being published in the Swiss Federal Gazette in the backdrop of the Swiss government being pressurised with requests on suspected black money hoarders in Swiss banks from various countries including India. The Indian government has been back of the Swiss authorities for a long time to get the information on the suspected tax evaders, Switzerland has shared some of the details related to the cases where India has been able to provide independent evidence of suspected tax evasion by Indian clients of Swiss banks. Switzerland's Economic Affairs Minister Johann Schneider Ammann during his India visit said that the Swiss government is sensitive to the fact that the issue of black money is very important for India and is needed to be resolved. "Switzerland has decided to follow international standards, including those framed by OECD, in sharing information and providing assistance to foreign countries probing such cases, but we have to ask our Parliament to make changes in our laws," he said.Indian Parliament has recently passed a new black money law under which those found to be stashing illicit funds in foreign locations, including Swiss banks, would face strict penal action, including up to ten years in jail and a penalty of 90 per cent of funds in addition to 30 per cent tax levy.By Premji
