Jammu And Kashmir Politics: BJP Withdraws Support To PDP:- In a shocking move, BJP withdrew their support for PDP in Jammu and Kashmir today. People's Democratic Party (PDP) has been in alliance with BJP from 2014 elections. BJP is the second largest party with 25 Assembly seats. BJP Vice President and General Secretary Ram Madhav revealed that BJP walked out of the alliance in Jammu and Kashmir. The decision has been taken after discussing with all the state leaders. BJP supported PDP during last elections to bring the stability in the region. All the ministers will resign from the cabinet and the legislators would meet the Governor soon. After the split, the government crashed down. PDP has no complete majority and a decision would be taken by the Governor soon. BJP revealed that the terror activities have been doubled in the state. Ameerpet - LB Nagar Metro Trail Run To Start Soon:- With the first phase of Hyderabad Metro serving lakhs of commuters every day, the Hyderabad Metro's next phase from Ameerpet to LB Nagar is nearing completion. The inspections are on and the Chief Electrical Inspector to Government of India (CEIG) DVS Raju is personally inspecting the Overhead Electric Traction System (OETS) between the stations. He also accorded sanction for energisation of the OETS. The traction system is fed from Receiving Substation (RSS) of metro rail at Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station. The incoming supply is drawn from TS TRANSCO. DVS Raju revealed that the trail runs would start soon between Ameerpet and LB Nagar. Soon the stations from Miyapur to LB Nagar would be connected. An official date would be locked once the Hyderabad Metro completes the trail run period and after all the formalities get concluded. (Video Source: TV5 News)

GHMC's Demolition Drive: 47 Structures Pulled Down:- The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is not in a mood to take any chances before the monsoon season in Hyderabad. A massive drive has been initiated to demolish old structures in the city. GHMC demolished 47 structures in various parts of the city on Monday alone. 15 structures have been in Kukatpally zone, 12 from Khairatabad and 8 from Secunderabad zone. Six of them have been demolished from Serlingampally zone and three have been pulled from Charminar and LB Nagar zones each. Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MAUD) Minister KT Rama Rao issued strict orders to senior officials during a review meeting on June 12th. An action plan has been taken to identify the dangerous structures in the city and a proposal for their demolishment has been submitted. Out of the 1194 buildings, 413 have been demolished. GHMC even deployed teams for road repairs and for dewatering low lying areas.

ED Claims That Vijay Mallya Diverted The Loan Funds:- Liquor baron Vijay Mallya flew from the country after he owes Rs 9000 crores to Indian banks. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) alleged that Vijay Mallya diverted Rs 3547 crores of loan funds and his full assets haven't been produced. In a special chargesheet filed in a Mumbai court, the ED said that Mallya didnot disclose his complete assets while executing a personal guarantee agreement. Vijay Mallya showed his total assets as Rs 1395 crores while ED identified them to be Rs 3164.65 crores in 2010. Vijay Mallya has invested huge in UK, USA, France and other countried claimed ED. His overseas properties have not been mentioned in his assets and they have been hidden from the banks. ED also listed five instances in which the loan funds have been diverted from Kingfisher Airlines. ED also revealed that the total dues left unpaid by Vijay Mallya is Rs 9990.07 crores.

AP Govt Declares Three Days Holidays For Schools:- Andhra Pradesh Government declared three days holidays for schools from June 19th to 21st considering the huge rise in temperatures in the state. HRD Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao announced the news and Adityanath Das, special chief secretary issued the orders accordingly. All the ZP, MP, aided and model schools will remain shut for these three days. With students suffering from sunstrokes and the meteorology department warning about the heat wave, AP Government took this decision. The Minister warned that stringent action would be taken if any school tries holding classes during these three days. 2.0 Delay Costs Over Rs 100 Crores:- Superstar Rajinikanth pinned many hopes on his next film titled 2.0 and the movie completed the principle shoot long ago. Shankar is the director and the movie is a sequel for Robo. Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar are the lead actors in this sci fi thriller and the makers allotted Rs 400 crores as the budget. The film’s VFX work is costing a bomb and Shankar is not completely happy with the VFX work because of which the film’s release has been delayed several times. Now the delay in the release is costing Rs 100 crores for the makers which is huge. The budget of 2.0 is said to have touched Rs 500 crores and the makers are still unclear about the film’s release. Shankar is expected to announce the release date soon after the completion of VFX work. AR Rahman composed the music and Lyca Productions produced 2.0. There are strong speculations that 2.0 will hit the screens during Republic Day weekend.
