The entire premium, whatever might be the total amount, would be paid by the government, it said. All farmers in the age group of 18 to 59 years would be provided with the insurance. He said funds required for the purpose would be budgeted and the total premium amount credited to the implementing agency, the Life Insurance Corporation, by the first of August every year. The insured amount of Rs five lakh should be paid to the nominee proposed by the insured farmer within 10 days of the claim, "irrespective of the reason due to which a farmer dies, including natural death," the release added. "This is the first time in history that Rs 5 lakh is the insured amount under a group insurance. It is also a record that several lakhs of farmers are members in the scheme. After Four Years Of Modi Mark Governance 57% Of Citizens With Performance May 26, 2018 15:54

After Four Years Of Modi Mark Governance 57% Of Citizens With Performance:- Four years back, the Narendra Modi led NDA surprised pollsters by sweeping the elections with 325 Parliamentary seats and formed the Government. The win followed an aggressive campaign that promised a clean government and improvement across all spheres of life. Modi as a new face with a strong appeal raised the expectation of people that change is possible and the country can see better days. Modi’s mantra - minimize the government and maximize governance. The Modi Government wanted to reduce red tape making it easier to do business in India. To mark the annual performance and its perception among citizens, LocalCircles conducts a very exhaustive survey to get citizen feedback on how the Central Government has fared. The outcome of this survey gives a picture of the Government’s performance on 23 different areas or parameters. These parameters are based on promises made by the government in its manifesto or issues identified by citizens on LocalCircles’ platform. This year’s survey received more than 1,75,000 votes from approximately 62,000 citizens in 250 districts of India and is the largest exercise of its kind where citizens assess Government performance. This year, a total of 57% citizens said that the Government has either met or exceeded their expectations in the last 4 years. Around 28% citizens said the Government has exceeded their expectation and this metric has shown a dramatic improvement upwards compared to 17% last year and 18% in 2016. While, only 29% citizens said that the Government meets the expectation and this has fallen from 44% last year and 46% in the year 2016. In 2016, 36% rated the Government as not meeting expectations which rose to 39% in 2017 and in 2018 this number rises to 43%. This means that opinion about Government performance is more polarised now, with both exceed expectation and not meeting expectation percentages going up.

Janasena Chief Pawan Sits On One Day Fast For Uddanam Kidney Patients May 26, 2018 13:47

Janasena Chief Pawan Sits On One Day Fast For Uddanam Kidney Patients:- Actor turned Politician and chief of Jana Sena Party Pawan Kalyan, who is currently touring in Srikakulam district has decided to sit on a one-day hunger strike demanding the permanent solution of the chronic kidney disease (CKD) in Uddanam area of the district. He had visited the Uddanam area two years ago when he was a friend of the ruling Telugu Desam Party and raised the voice for the victims. As he was a friend then, the government responded quickly and opened three dialysis centers in no time along with other precautions like providing secured water for free. The State government had then sent its health minister Kamineni Srinivas to Delhi and get the dialysis centers for these victims. The Centre, which was an ally of the TDP, too acted swiftly and granted 10 dialysis centers. That was the response Pawan Kalyan received when he visited the area for the first time and raised his voice. Now, after two years, he visited the area again and set a deadline of two days to the State government on the same issue. This time, the government did not react as it reacted in the past. He is not a friend any more. He is a foe or a critic sitting in the opposition and there is no reason why the government should react. As the two-day deadline had gone, he had decided to sit in a 24 hour hunger strike. The police did not give him the permission forcing him to start his first day fast in his resort where he was camping. On Saturday, he continued his deeksha after moving to the local Arts College grounds in Srikakulam. Even if he sits there for 20 days it is for sure this government would not take him as seriously as it took when he was a friend. He would be ignored or cut to size as it is Chandrababu Naidu in power not the others. The irony is that he had promised a 45-day long padayatra in the three northern coastal districts from May 20. But, in two days, he had changed his padayatra to bus yatra blaming the police for not providing security for his walk. He also said that his personal security persons were injured as the mob rush went uncontrollable. A leader who cannot plan and execute his programme in the public is not taken seriously. This is not first time that he had changed his stand on the issues. Earlier when the people of the capital villages requested him to support their fight against the government taking away their lands for capital, he had promised to fight for them if the government uses force. It is more than three years now, he is seen nowhere in the capital villages and is not available them too. (Video Source: AP24x7)
