Robo 2 with Rajini and Kamal April 21, 2015 13:47

The Indian film industry is going to experience the true meaning and effect and consequences of a word called Multistarrer. Previously there are many instances where top celebrities were seen in good multistarrers, but this time, it is something big that is going to happen which can influence the whole Indian movie market. Its the combination Rajinikanth and Kamalhaasan, the lead actors, no no. almost the demi gods of Indian cinema. Anyway this combination is not new to the film lovers as they already acted in almost 16 films together. But those multistarrers are almost at the beginning of their career, where they did not enjoy this range of star status. Now the situation is completely different, both were considered to be huge stars since years who earned this from their respective films individually. At this point of time, if this combination comes true again, then that would be the talk of the whole country undoubtedly.Shankar had a good rapport with both the stars and also previously worked with them for the films like  Bharatheeyudu, Sivaji, Robo which were turned out to be the huge blockbusters in duo's career. Using that rapport, Shankar is now making trials to rope these two stars in his film. If the reports are to be believed, Shankar narrated a story to both the stars which is buzzed to be Robo 2. Kamal accepted to play the villain role in movie and Rajini is anyway the hero.       After a failure like 'I', Shankar really needs to come back with a bang, and the success of this flick will surely make him to get back to his position again.   But Shankar has to deal very carefully with both the stars keeping in mind the fans of duo. If any minor difference is observed by them and think that only one hero is given importance, then the other hero fans will create a wave of controversies which might even lead to the banning of movie. And after banning a huge budget movie like this,  the whereabouts of the producer will nowhere be heard or seen again for sure.By Phani

Uttar Pradesh Government announces six months holidays a year April 21, 2015 13:34

As per the new amendments made by the four-year-old Akhilesh Yadav-led Samajwadi Party government employees now need to work only for six months a year in Uttar PradeshWith assembly elections due next year, the government has declared three more holidays. The new holidays are dedicated to political leaders - the government has not been choosey about their party affiliation. The list includes birth anniversaries of former Prime Ministers Charan Singh and Chandrashekhar and former Bihar Chief Minister Karpoori Thakur."It is important to celebrate the life of these stalwarts as a holiday to inspire people," said a Samajwadi  Party legislator in its defense. The holiday tally of Uttar Pradesh is 38, in comparison to other big states like Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu, which have 25 public holidays.Coupled with a five-day week for Vidhan Sabha staff and departmental head offices, three holidays for district-level employees and two optional holidays, most government employees can be off six months a year. Not everyone is celebrating though.A petition has been filed in the Lucknow High Court against "holiday politics". The petitioner, Amitabh Thakur, said, "I have asked the court to restrict the holidays to a minimum and not allow holidays in the names of every political leader. Only a few should be allowed".While half of the year running on leaves, people are wondering how the state progress with these leaders without vision and leadership. Yes, absolutely they are ‘leaders minus leadership’. To titillate the comedy nerves, few are mocking that the government’s new initiation will at least save the government expenses like electricity bills, while others blamed the Sarkar for taking them back to the rock ages.  If the same continues, Pakistan will also develop, but not UP - Manohar

Vitamin supplements increase risk of cancer April 21, 2015 13:27

Many take vitamins to stay fit and healthy but intake of them more than the recommended daily amount will increase the risk of cancer and heart disease by 20%, according to a new study. Tim Byers, a professor at the University of Colorado Cancer Centre who led the study said, "We are not sure why this is happening at the molecular level, but evidence shows that people who take more dietary supplements than needed tend to have a higher risk of developing cancer."The researchers wanted to explore whether the cancer risk is reduced if the intake of extra vitamins is stopped. The line of research started 20 years ago with the observation that people who ate more fruits and vegetables tended to have less cancer. When it was first tested on animal models the results were promising as per the study reports. "Eventually we were able to move on to the human populations. We studied thousands of patients for ten years who were taking dietary supplements and placebos."Based on their findings, researchers concluded that the supplements were not beneficial for people's health. "This is not to say that people need to be afraid of taking vitamins and minerals," Byers explained. "If taken at the correct dosage, multivitamins can be good for you. But there is no substitute for good, nutritional food."It is advised not to take vitamin supplements as tablets or syrups but intake through natural vegetables is good for health. By Lizitha

Dinosaur eggs found April 21, 2015 13:09

Watching a Dinosaur in films gives a pleasure, but watching it directly will definitely give fever. Now I think that there might be a similar kind of fever in China.  In China, there is a city called “the home town of Dinosaur”. Keeping up the name, previously there were few instances in the past where the Dinosaur eggs were found. Now again the scene repeated recently. Few of the construction workers in the city of Heyuan in Guangdong province while on their digging work, found these eggs beneath the earth. The interesting thing is out of the total 43 eggs that are found, many of those are not spoiled in any way.  In 1995, while some kids were playing at a building site, found these eggs and thought that they were some stones. That was the first discovery of these eggs in China. From then, 13000 eggs are found out in these two decades and the city also holds a position in Guinness Book of World Records for having the largest collection of dinosaur eggs.Since then, the concentration on the city started increasing and any unique which is found on the earth, people started relating to dinosaur immediately. In this hunt, there are many people who said that they found dinosaur's skeleton, foot prints  and some other parts.  By Phani

Gold sales expecting 25 to 30% increase on Akshaya Tritiya April 21, 2015 13:06

Indian jewelers are banking on what’s considered one of the most auspicious days for gold buying to spur demand in the world’s biggest bullion consumer. Sales on Akshaya Tritiya, viewed by the country’s more than 900 million Hindus as a traditional day to buy precious metals, may increase as much as 20 percent from 2014, Manish Jain, chairman of the All India Gems & Jewellery Trade Federation, said. “A positive mood exists among the retail sector as Akshaya Tritiya is considered the most auspicious time of the year for purchase of gold,” Jain said. “Gold continues to be a dependable hedge against inflation and is still a valuable purchase” for Indians, he said. “The jewellery trade is expecting an increase of about 25-30 per cent in sales this year in comparison to sales made last year on Akshya Tritiya,” Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) said in a release. “It is also expected that Gold Monetisation policy announced by the Finance Minister in the Union Budget may also prompt buyers to purchase gold tomorrow and later monetise it with banks,” CAIT National President B.C. Bhartia said.Titan Co., the nation’s largest gold jewelry retailer, is among companies offering free gold coins to buyers for purchase of a minimum amount to boost sales, while Joy Alukkas Jewellery is promising to waive off the manufacturing fees on some ornaments.Consumption of gold in the country, which imports almost all the bullion it needs, will rise to between 900 tons and 1,000 tons this year, the World Gold Council estimates. India’s gold imports surged 93.86 per cent year-on-year to USD 4.98 billion in March 2015 due to declining prices and easing of restrictions by the RBI, as against USD 2.57 billion in the same month in 2014.“Buying behavior is returning to normalcy following a reduction of the import curbs,” P.R. Somasundaram, managing director of the World Gold Council in India said. “Gold is therefore set to start shining more brightly this Akshaya Tritiya.” “We believe the immediate outlook remains strong and the long term fundamentals of the gold market remain intact. Notwithstanding unseasonal rains impacting the rural economy this season, gold demand is expected to be strong in 2015 on the back of a resilient economy surging ahead with higher growth,” he said.“Rapid dollar appreciation against other currencies, possible rise in US treasury interest rates and absence of inflation indicate soft gold prices in near term,” says Devendra Nevgi, CEO, ZyFin Advisors. “Given strong US dollar, there is no meaningful upside in gold in next two-three quarters,” says Hitesh Jain, senior commodity analyst, IIFL. “Gold is a must in every portfolio to ensure portfolio stability. Keep at least 5% to 10% in gold,” says Pankaj Mathpal, CEO, Optima Money Managers. “Given the advantages over physical gold, you should be investing in gold through exchange traded funds or gold saving funds,” says Pankaj Mathpal. In the long term gold maintains the fine balance of risk-return for the portfolio. Rajiv Shastri, CEO of Peerless Mutual Fund said. By Premji

Lawrence 'Ganga'  was already released in Tamil and is still drawing huge crowds at the theaters. The talk is universally spread saying, that the movie is a huge success. According to the previous schedule, if the movie had released simultaneously in Telugu, till date it would have been a huge success here too. But the release of the film is still getting postponed. The latest update is, due to few financial issues, the film will not release even on 24th of the April too as said earlier. Bellamkonda Suresh who produced Alludu Seenu and Rabhasa, indebted to the financiers of both the films. Now the financiers came to know that Suresh is planning to release his new film Ganga in Telugu. They thought that this would be the right situation to catch hold of the producer and stopped the release of it. Though the producer pleaded them that eh would return back the money after the movie release, they were in no way to listen to him. The film even has a very good talk in Tamil and a similar talk is even expected in Telugu. This made financiers feel that this is the right time to stop the film's release as the producer anyway tries to arrange money for them who cannot afford to loose such a super hit film just for the sake of an issue with financiers.   So lets see whether Suresh takes a wise decision and repays their money back before the craze on the film gets reduced among the Telugu audience.   By Phani

Akshaya Tritiya - imperishable prosperity April 21, 2015 12:12

Akshaya Tritiya, also known as "Akha Teej", is traditionally the birthday of Lord Parasurama, the sixth incarnation of Lord Vishnu. People conduct special Pujas on this day, bathe in holy rivers and worship Lord Ganesha and Devi Mahalakshmi on this day. Akshaya Tritiya falls on the third day of the bright half of Vaishakh month (April-May), when the Sun and Moon are in exaltation; they are simultaneously at their peak of brightness, which happens only once every year. The word "Akshaya" means imperishable or eternal, that which never diminishes. Initiations made or valuables bought on this day are considered to bring success or good fortune. The day also marks the beginning of the "SatyaYug" or the Golden Age, the first of the four Yugas. In the Puranas, there is a story that says that on this day of Akshay Tritiya, Veda Vyasa along with Ganesha started writing the great epic Mahabharata. Ganga Devi or Mother Ganges also descended on earth on this day. According to another legend, during the time of the Mahabhrata, when the Pandavas were in exile, Lord Krishna, on this day, presented them an 'Akshaya Patra,' a bowl which would never go empty and produce an unlimited supply of food on demand. The most famous of the Akshaya Tritiya stories is the legend of Lord Krishna and Sudama, his poor Brahmin childhood friend. On this day, Sudama came over to Krishna's palace to request him for some financial help. As a gift for his friend, Sudama had nothing more than a handful of beaten rice or 'poha'. He was utterly ashamed to give it to Krishna, but Krishna took the pouch of 'poha' from him and relished having it. Krishna followed the principle of 'Atithi Devo Bhava' or 'the guest is like God' and treated Sudama like a king. His poor friend was so overwhelmed by the warmth and hospitality shown by Krishna that he could not ask for the financial favor and came back home empty handed. When he reached his place, he saw his old hut was transformed into a palace. He found his family dressed in royal attire and everything around was new and expensive. Sudama knew that it was a boon from Krishna, who blessed him with more than the wealth he actually intended to ask for. Therefore, Akshaya Tritiya is associated with material gains and wealth acquisition. It was believed that on this day Goddess Annapoorna devi was born. Kubera received his wealth and position as custodian of wealth and property from Goddess Lakshmi on this day, by praying to Lord Shiva at Shivapuram. In Odisha, on Akshay Tritiya day, farmers start ploughing their land and construction of chariots for Rath Yatra begins at Puri. In Bengal, on the day of the Akshay Tritiya, "HalKhata" a ceremony to start the new audit book is performed with the worship of Ganesha and goddess Lakshmi.Jainism considers Akshaya Tritiiya to be a holy and supremely auspicious day. It is associated with Lord Adinatha, also known as Rishabhadeva, first of the twenty-four Tirthankaras. On this day people who observe the year-long alternative day fasting known as Varshi-tap finish their Tapasya by doing parana by drinking sugarcane juice. Being Yugadi Tithi, it is most beneficial for performing meritorious (Punya Karma) deeds such as recitations (Japa), penance (Tapa), donations (Dana) ritual bathing (Snaana), sacrifices (Havan), burnt oblations to fire (Hooma). Many luminaries were born during this period: Basaveshwara born on May 4, Ramanujacharya and Adi Shankaracharya on May 6, Swami Chinmayananda on May 8 and Lord Buddha on May 16.It is to be remembered that buying gold or anything like that is not the way of celebrating Akshaya Tritiya. If you want to purchase gold or any other items, you have to purchase as per your capacity. If you purchase it using credit cards or loans, you have to remember that the akshaya will be happening for your loans and credits and thus you may become a debtor. So out of enthusiasm do not indulge in excessive purchases which are out of your reach. Celebrate this day by donating food or clothes to the poor, which will definitely make the recipient happy and in return that happiness will become akshaya for you.By Premji
