One person was killed having at least eight injured after an earthquake struck Indonesia’s Aceh province on Tuesday. As told by the local emergency agency, an 8-year-old girl was killed and eight people in Pidie district were injured by falling debris as a result of the quake.

To say more, the magnitude-6.0 quake occurred at 5:22 am (1022 GMT Monday) with an epicentre 15 kilometres south=west of the provincial capital, Banda Aceh, according to the geophysics agency. It had a depth of 84 kilometres because of which the quake was felt very strongly having caused serious panic in Banda Aceh wherein residents rushed out of their homes, fearing a tsunami.

It's really shocking at the same time mournful!
