The DNA test has confirmed that the veteran Congress leader N D Tiwari as the biological father of Rohit Shekhar to add to his embarassment.

He had earlier pleaded the Delhi High court not to open the DNA reports before the single judge bench who were hearing his trial of a paternity suit by a 32- year old claiming to be his son.

After the courts permission Justice Reva Ketrapal had decided to open the DNA reports of the congress leader and the petitioner Rohit Shekhar and his mother Ujjwala Sharma at 2:30 pm in the afternoon. However he had asked her not to give its copies to any party in the case.

Acting Chief Justice A K Sikri and Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw said, "Not opening the DNA report may lead to a lengthy process" as they dismmissed his appeal for confidentiality. The bench also agreed that such directives were not issued by the Supreme Court order and moreover this test result was an evidence.  "We do not find merit in the petition, so it is dismissed," the bench added.
