RadiationTapsRadiation exceeds up to drinking water in Tokyo, an Official in city on Wednesday found the radioactive iodine in tap water. He advised parents should not give water to their babies.

Tokyo and in Fukushima prefecture, home of nuclear power had already been detected the radioactive iodine and declared the abnormal state in water, due to critically damaged nuclear power plant.

There is fear of fuel public safety in Tokyo about possible contamination from the plant. Radioactive substances have been leaked into the air which knocked out the plant's reactor cooling sources.

The city official said that water containing radioactive substance of more than 100 Becquerel’s per kilogram should not used in milk for babies.

A water sample in one of Tokyo ward contained more than double the legal limit at 210 Becquerel’s per kilogram.

The municipal government advised residents avoid using tap water not only just in the affected ward to make infant formula until further precaution notice.

Radioactive iodine also found in the tap water at central prefectures of Gunma, Tochigi, Saitama, Chiba and Niigata.
