Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday talking to the media said that he had been shocked to listen to the decision of his erstwhile leader, officially and his idol in heart always, Anna Hazare, the anti-corruption crusader. He reacted to Anna’s statements saying that they were shocking and unbelievable. He later mentioned that however, the political party that Is yet to be formed would be based on his principles.

"We respect  Anna Hazare, he is our guru and father. Yesterday's developments came as a complete surprise. It was shocking, unbelievable, unfortunate and sad," he said talking to the media after talking to the members of his team in a meeting to discuss the further course of action.

On Wednesday, Anna Hazare had publicly announced that he did not want to be associated with the political party in anyway saying that the party should not use his name or photo for the promotion of the party.

Kejriwal however took this well and answered that he did not need a physical representation of the guru that he had ardently cherished.  "Anna's photograph and name are printed in our hearts. We will continue to take his blessings and touch his feet. Anna's five principles will become foundation of our party," Kejriwal added reminding the nation of the story of the greatest disciple in the history, Ekalavya.
