Pilgrims held for possession of illegal weapons

In a rare case, police have detained thirteen pilgrims for possession of 15 swords illegally, officials of the police department said.

According to the police, the pilgrims had purchased the swords at Pushkar near Rajasthan which they had visited on a religious tour.

While they were travelling on Sanver Road near Indore, the police had intercepted their vehicle and found them in possession of the swords.

They could not show any valid documents that could prove the purchase of the weapons and hence the weapons were confiscated.

The Pilgrims were also detained to assist the police in the interrogations regarding the same.
