Botcha Satyanarayana launched a prepaid auto service

Transport Minister Botcha Satyanarayana on Thursday launched a prepaid auto service at Secunderabad railway station. This new service is aimed at doing away with the menace of auto drivers fleecing the passengers by charging higher fare than what the transport authorities had fixed. This service is jointly launched by the Railway authorities, traffic police, and road transport authorities. In fact this service was to have been launched almost four months back. Additional Traffic police Commissioner C.V. Anand, under whose supervision the pre-paid auto service would function said that the facility will ensure safety and security of the passengers. He said this service will not be available between 1 am and 4 am. But the minister asked Mr Anand to see that it was available round the clock. Police Commissioner AK Khan and Mayor Banda Karthika Reddy, were among those present.
