One of the looked upon film makers of Indian Cinema, Mani Ratnam is always too costly for the film makers...
Okay, if not always at least at a major note... to take a best example would be the films like 'Raavan' and 'Naayakudu'...
Many of the films manage to earn back the revenue like 'Sakhi', and some of them prove to be disasters...
But, what is the fact is that the director is still in demand...
After almost taking a 2 year break from films, Mani is back and all set to direct a out and out love story 'kaadal'...
According to the grapevine, the production cost of the film is coming up to 50 crores... yes, this figure is not a typo error but a truth...
Wonder why love stories require such a huge cost to be made...
