Vijayawada MP Lagadapati Rajagopal, who will always be in the news for making controversial statements, on Friday made yet another statement, which apparently trigerred a major debate among political circles and aam aadmis in Andhra Pradesh. Lagadapati Rajagopal, who sought the blessings of Lord Venkateshwara in Tirumala on Saturday, made a sensational statement on Chiranjeevi.

Lagadapati Rajagopal has said that had Congress high command made Chiranjeevi a central minister, Congress would have drawn another couple of seats in bypolls. The political observers in the state have said that Lagadapati Rajagopal admitted that it was the mistake of Congress party to ignore Chiranjeevi. They have also said that his statements proved that Congress party in Andhra Pradesh lacked a good leader to take forward the party in the state.

It is known that megastar-turned-MP Chiranjeevi has apparently so much charisma in Andhra Pradesh. Apart from his charm, he is also having kapu vote bank to ensure him success. But, the political analysts said in order to turn fans into voters, Chiranjeevi should be made chief minister candidate. This was also what crores of Andhra people wish, added analysts. While people are wanting Chiranjeevi to become the chief minister, what made Lagadapati state Chiranjeevi should have given central minister post has become a million dollar question.

Is Lagadapati Rajagopal worried that Chirajeevi would become the chief minister of Andhra? Yes, said political experts. They said Rajagopal has been trying to attract high command's attention by making controversies and taking on Jagan, added the observers. They have even opined that Rajagopal, who thought none could be a competition to him in the future, apparently received a shock looking at the charm of Chiranjeevi.  The sources have also said that Lagadapati Rajagopal apparently didn't want the credit of Congress victory go to Chiranjeevi in bypolls and reportedly he allegedly made statements again Jagan's mother, which in turn damaged the vote bank of Congress.

However, none could cover sun with his/her palm. Chiranjeevi is a man of vision and he will surely become chief minister in 2014 if not now even if 100 palms try to cover his charm, said political observers.  Also, the experts analysed that Congress party will apparently retain its power in the state only when it declares Chiranjeevi as the chief minister candidate for 2014.
