Chiru's Unforgettable Interview..! August 22, 2010 11:59

It was 21st of August 2004. Chiranjeevi and Sonali Bendre were dancing for Adnan Sami's 'Ye Zilla Ye Zilla' song in a set erected at Nanakramguda Studios. Watching Chiranjeevi at work (especially when he dances) is a great treat to watch. As the group dancers performed over 15 minutes to get their step, rhythm and grace right, Chiranjeevi appears at the time of final take and performs his dance like a magician and gives a look towards choreographer Raju Sundaram for the response. After gettng satisfactory nod from choreographer, Chiranjeevi shows a Thumps Up sign and retire back to his green room as the group dancers prepare for their next step.'If you want to take interview, take it now, otherwise you won't get him till the release of the film' said Akkineni Ravi Shankar Prasad (producer of Shankar Dada MBBS). It is already 8 pm in the evening. Chiranjeevi had to attend his birthday function that mid night. I asked him if it would be of any inconvenience to him for granting an interview. Chiranjeevi quickly agreed to give an interview with a warm gesture - 'We guys never meet very often. So let us make best of it since we met now'.The interview started at 8 pm and continued in the gaps of song shoot till 10 pm. Chiranjeevi was very elaborate in his answers and he knew exactly of what we wanted from him. Here is the first part of his interview on the eve of grand gala release of Mega Star's latest film 'Shankar Dada MBBS' on 15th October 2004 ....Tell us about being present at Athens for Olympics 2004 as an ambassador of Coke?Sanjiv Gupta, President, Coca-Cola India, on behalf of Coca-Cola headquarters in Atlanta, wanted me and my family to visit Athens, for Olympics 2004, as their guest of honor, since I have been promoting Coke in India. Then the sudden demise of Allu Ramalingaiah gaaru changed my mind and I thought of canceling the visit. But Allu Arvind wanted me to go ahead with this plan and he also insisted upon me taking my kids and Surekha with me so that a change of place might help them come out of the trauma of Ramalingaiah gaaru's loss easily. The tickets were already booked and they were about to be canceled. But with Arvind's proposal we changed our minds and we went ahead with our trip to Athens. After being there, I felt that it was a lifetime memorable event. The opening ceremony was spectacular and magnificent. I have seen couple of shows in Las Vegas like the O-show in Bellagio, which has ocean sports arranged in water. After watching shows like O-Show I felt there wouldn't be anything greater than that. But after watching the opening ceremony at Athens I was spell bound and the specialty of the opening ceremony is it attracts the whole world to it. And watching such a big event with the naked eye is a thrilling experience. We found ourselves to be extremely fortunate to be among the high-energy crowd that was welcoming the Olympics back to Greece after hundred years. Our kids felt ecstatic and shared their happiness by expressing on how privileged they were to be my offsprings. While watching games like floor gymnastics we were really amazed by the performances of Russians and Chinese who are trained from the age of ten exclusively in these games. Among the other games, we saw swimming, beach volleyball and women volleyball. The most important thing that we need to learn from these games is sportsmanship among players. It felt was if winning or losing did not matter. What mattered was participating in the games with a good spirit. We enjoyed the excellent reception given to us by Coke. Of the 7 days, we went around Athens for 2 days and we spent one day on a cruise. Again, we should commend the impeccable planning and organization of the people that went into planning the opening ceremony and making it a spectacular event with their excellent work.Starting from Legend NTR to you, most of you are icons of Telugu film industry and almost all of them have setup studios except for you. You are the only one to have started a charitable trust (CCT). Is there any specific reason for that and do you have any plans to start a studio in the future? There are two ways of paying back to the society. One is professionally by building studios and other infrastructural facilities that would felicitate employment to the needy technicians and development of Telugu film industry. The second way of paying back is to do charity work to the society. Thanks to the audience and the industry, I am professionally well off today. And personally I wanted to do something to the society, giving the audience something in return for their support and admiration that they have always showered on me. So more than doing anything in terms of infrastructure development for the movie industry, the thought to serve the people drove me to setup this trust. And people around me like Allu Aravind and Naga Babu, who are into movie production, supported my idea of doing some social service. Also, all my family members stood by me saying that we need to give something back to the society. My biggest strengths are all my fans, who listen to me and put my words into action with great energy serving the society with verve and enthusiasm. That is how I started the Eye bank and the Blood bank. Setting up a studio is a good idea too because it aids in the development of film industry infrastructure and also provides jobs to the unemployed youth. Though I was focused on the charitable trust until now I have also started giving a serious thought to build a studio now. We are planning to take some land and build a studio and if it materializes then we all - Pawan Kalyan, Naga Babu, Aravind and myself - would be involved in it.About the camaraderie he shares with Allu ArvindRather than being just a brother-in-law and a producer, Arvind is more of a friend to me. And I think the best relation between any two persons is friendship. There might be secrets and rife between wife and husband, but there will not be any secrets or problems between friends. I discuss everything with Arvind and likewise Arvind too. Arvind thinks in a different way than me and he gives me advice based on what is best for me. When I make a decision, he thinks from my perspective and supports that decision. Though we are film personalities, we rarely discuss things about films in our meetings unless there is a film that involves both of us.About his relationship with Pawan KalyanRegarding Pawan Kalyan, though we endorse two rival cola products (Thumpsup & Pepsi) we never discuss about these things at home. The free time that we have is very less and we try utilizing it in enjoying with family members.About keeping professional and personal life separateI do not let my personal life entangle with my professional life or vice versa. The moment I walk in to my house, I leave the actor in me outside. Cinema is like God to me. But personal life is equally vital. Though cinema and my personal life are equally important to me, I think I have succeeded in drawing a line differentiating these two. For that matter, I did not have a single photograph of mine in my office till recently. I am practical about life and I am sure that the image (stardom) that I have right now will not be there forever. If I start feeling that I am the incarnation of God by looking at the image (stardom) I will end up being a megalomaniac. That's the reason why I have kept my reel life and real life poles apart and I think I've succeeded in that.In the 175 days functions of Indra, you mentioned that you slept on hard floor (katika nela) on the biggest days of your life just to make sure that success would not get into your head?I came from a middle class family. My father started his career as constable in police department then rose to the level of Assistant Excise Superintendent (State Excise Department). Though we have two superstars [Chiranjeevi & Pawan Kalyan] and a big producer [Nagababu], our style of living and cultural habits have never changed. If you visit my home, you feel like being at the home of people with down-to-earth habits. We lead a simple and common life even today. Everybody enjoys appreciation from others. But we should enjoy it for a few seconds and use it as a fuel for positive things and move on. One should not carry it to one's head.I am lucky to have a wife like Surekha who also came from a like-minded family of Ramalingaiah gaaru with similar kind of ideology and lifestyle. My kids also inherited the same kind of thinking. In fact, my son [Ram Charan Teja] does not have a car of his own today. The only reason I did not buy him a car is that I do not want him to treat it as a luxury. He should realize its necessity. I now understand that he really needs a car and I am willing to present him with one very soon.Ram Charan Teja came to watch Munnai Bhai MBBS when I went to Prasads. At that time I observed that he was traveling in a friend's Maruti 800.Is it? (laughs) Ram Charan finishes gym by 9:30 pm. And even when there is nobody to pick him up, he somehow manages and gets home. All of his student friends have big cars to themselves. But Teja never complained about it to us. I am lucky to have such an understanding and simple living kids.Do you think Ram Charan Teja has it in him to become an actor?Yes. I think he has the right personality (behavior and way of thinking). I am happy that he is on the right track so far. All I need to do is ignite passion in him for acting and the rest will follow. I think personality development is the most important thing than any other training like horse riding, fights etc. And I must say that so far everything is going on very well. This interview was given by chiranjeevi garu before entering into politics.Well, the Andhrawishesh Team wishes the megastar for a wondoerful life. we all love you Sir...

Director Jai bolo Telangana February 05, 2011 11:48

Interview with Jai bolo Telangana Director N.Shankar                                                                                                                                                       Bakground:I am an avid reader of literature since childhood and am thoroughly influenced by it. I come from a struggled village. I am a huge fan of Chalam, Sarat, Tilak, Gopichand, Kaloji, Sri Sri, Ravi Sastri and many Telugu literary legends. I love reading history and got influenced by Alluri Seeta Rama Raju, Subhash Chandrabose, Azad, Komaram Bheem who sacrificed their lives for the society. I also used to read books on naxals fight. I used to participate in Kavi Sammelanam in our areas. In attended a Kavi Sammelanam in 1983 in Nalgonda which was graced by Ravi Sastri and Sri Sri. They liked my poems a lot. My photograph with them also came in local newspapers at that time.Actor Prabhakar Reddy is also from my neighboring village. He heard about me and I met him. He came to know about my interest in films and invited me to come to Madras. I went to Chennai. He recommended me for Bharatamlo Sankharavam film and I worked in direction department for that movie. Later on I worked for directors like B Bhaskara Rao, hero Krishna, EVV and Kodandarami Reddy. It was Padmalaya Studios that gave me a direction chance, I directed a socially relevant film titled ‘Encounter’ as my first film. My second movie Sriramulayya is based on the life story of Paritala Sriramulayya (father of Paritala Ravi). I later directed films like Yama Jatakudu, Jayam Manadera, Bhadrachalam, Ayudham, Ram and a Kannada film. Jayam Manadera is the big commercial hit in my career. Encounter, Sri Ramulayya and Bhadrachalam have got excellent appreciation. There has been a considerable gap after the release of Ram (2006). What is the reason?I had done a Kannada film and I prepared a terrific story for Vijaykant for a film to be made in Tamil. Later on, the same story was liked and appreciated by Chiranjeevi. Chiranjeevi evinced keen interest in making his 150th film in my direction with that story. He had to put it on hold due to his entry into politics. I was also supposed to make a movie with Bala Krishna. A few years were gone into this process.Tell us about the genesis of Jai Bolo Telangana film?Telangana is a struggled area for centuries. During the 15th century, Sammakka Sarakka fought against unlawful rulers for Telangana people. In 16th century, Sarvayi Papanna fought against Muslim rule in Telangana. Komaram Bheem fought against Asif Jahi Dynasty in 19th century. Telangana Armed Struggle (Telangana Sayudha Poratam) took place between 1945 to 1948. Telangana people fought for Telangana again in 1969 in which 369 people were killed. People’s War group initiated fight for Telanagana between 1996 to 1998, which was suppressed by the government. The latest fight was started in the end of 2009 and it is happening continuously.I had always wanted to make a movie on Telanagana Sayudha Poratam for a long time. I prepared a script on this subject after Bhadrachalam movie. It was supposed to be made with a big hero on a big banner. Our home minister Chidambaram declared Telangana on the night of 9 December 2009 and the government withdrew the statement within 24 hours due to immense pressure from the politicians of Rayalaseema and Andhra. The people of Telangana realized the importance and got emotionally involved in Telangana issue since then.Over 600 people have sacrificed their lives for the cause of Telangana since 9 December 2009. I made an announcement that I will make a movie titled ‘Jai Bolo Telanagana’ in the samsmarana sabha (condolence meet) of Srikanth Chari who sacrificed his life for Telanagana. I thought that I would find a producer. But sadly, nobody came forward to produce this movie. I do understand that filmmaking is a business and no businessman wants to put in money in a film that is made for a social cause. What disturbed me the most during Telangana movement is the self-immolation of Yadaiah who is a bartender. He became the fuel for Telanagana movement. I cried for 4 hours when I came to know about the way he died. That is when I decided that I should produce the movie at any cost. Putting all my earnings to make a movie on Telanagana is very small compared to what the 600 matyrs had done for Telanagana.I have sold all my assets and asked friends and well-wishers to invest in the movie. I asked my friend Srinivas (Orlando) for money and he gave me 25 lacs. Lots of people helped me financially and morally in making Jai Bolo Telanagana movie. KCR penned a song. Gaddar sang a song and acted in the movie. Lots of praja kavulu and gayakulu contributed their might to the movie. Students acted in keys scenes of the movie. What is the story of Jai Bolo Telangana?JBT film covers the latest mass movement of Telanaga. It is backed by a good story based on human relationships. There is a love story in it. I am saying through this movie that the human relationships and bonding shouldn’t be broken by the leaders. You are saying that relationships shouldn’t be broken and at the same time you are supporting a separate Telanagana?I am trying to propagate that the state should be divided on the physical boundaries, but the people should be united like brothers. There is a need for a separate Telanagana because the downtrodden will get benefited if a new state comes up. The leaders have been doing unjustice to Telanagana for decades. The poor man in Telanagana will get benefited if Telangana is ruled by good Telanagana leaders.JBT film’s release is postponed by a week due to censor problems?I think the censor board took it personally and didn’t give a certificate. We went to revised censorship and got the certificate. I want to personally thank everybody who protested against non-issuing of censor certificate. There had been severe protests when the news broke out. I don’t want to make it controversial now by talking censor board problem now.Are there any issues in the film which are going to hurt the audiences of Andhra and Rayalaseema?I always feel that people of all three areas - Telangana, Andhra and Rayalaseema are great. It is the politicians and big industrialists who are causing trouble to Telanagana people. I tried to showcase the struggles of Telangana. The people of Andhra and Rayalaseema will sympathize with Telanagana people after watching JBL. I also want to clarify a misconception to the middle-class people from Andhra and Rayalaseema who stay in Hyderabad that nothing is going to change if a new state comes up. Everybody can live like brothers and sisters.JBT is about Telangana and you have taken Andhra actor Jagapati Babu to play main lead?I am of opinion that the form of art knows no borders. There is no discrimination (cast, creed, religion or region) in arts. Jagapati Babu is an apt choice and he has done terrific work. He is has done three roles in this movie as grandfather (1969 movement), father (1998 movement) and son (current movement). We cast people from all areas as per the demands of the script. Smriti Irani who is All India President of the Womens Wing of BJP has acting in a key role. I also have a few NRIs like Padma Reddy (Chicago), Indira (Dallas) acting in the movie. How different is JBT from other movies?Jai Bolo Telangana is a film that is having so many newspaper reports and tv channel videos coming live as a factual tale. It is up to date. I don’t think any other film is made in such a way on an ongoing struggle which keeps taking turns very rapidly. I had to rework on script and change many scenes to be up to date. When you watch JBT on 4 February, you feel like you are watching incidents that are happening today. What is your gut feeling on the movie?JBT is a honest and realistic movie. It is made for a cause. The supporters of Telangana will own the movie. The people from Andhra and Rayalaseema will look at the human angle of the movie and sympathise with the plight of Telangana people.

Work should speak for itself August 31, 2010 18:25

Pawan Kalyan, who has become the craze of youth, His birthday is on 2nd of September. In association with the event, here is a chit chat with Pawan Kalyan. Is there any projects you have rejected in the recent times. What do you look for in a film?I declined two offers recently as the my character and the story were not meeting my expectations. I look for a good story that would entertain the audience and be commercially successful. I do not recommend heroines, but would like a good one to be cast opposite me.Is there any actress who fell in love with you?Antha scene naku ledu! I don't interact much with them, beyond work. If it so happens in the future, I will let you know though (laughs). Jhonny did not deliver the entertaiment elements? It is an undeniable fact that Entertainment elements will help the film to succeed. But there are other films that clicked well at the box office, without the routine formulae. I didnot want to include unnecessary side tracks. You are looking very good. Is this getup for one of your new films? Yes. As a matter of fact, some part of the film (Tiger Sitaramudu) will have to be filmed in U.S. And there is a need for a different getup altogether. Once that part of the film starts to shoot, I have to go for a change in getup. The present getup of me is common in both the films. Which one will start first? Is it Anjana productions (Veera Shankar director) or Vijayanthi films (Karunakaran direction)? Anjana productions is the first one to start. Shooting for both the films will start in the same month and go on simultaneously. Any special reason for your inclination in modernizing old songs? Aadu vari maatalaku is one of my all time favorites. It is almost part of my day to day life. I thought why not include it in one of my films. As the situation needed, the song is fitted in. In the same way is Ee reayi theeyanidhi in Jhonny. While your contemporaries are going for continuous films and achieving sucess, why are you sticking yourself to one film for so much time? Self evaluation is necessary and not comparing with others. Success is not given by some one. It has to be earned. Every one has their own style in earing it and I have mine. Your fans wants to see more of you. Why not do more films? I have tried it earlier but it did not work out. Everyone has their style of working. Anyway, now that I am trying two films at a time. I am an Indian for Badri and Yeh mera jahan from Kushi are patriotic songs. Any inspiration?? I love my mother land. I feel proud to have born in India. Probably these feelings are coming out that way. Any plans to direct a film? Why not? If I am not committed to Nagababu and Aswini Dutt, I would have taken a gap and then direct a film. But now my priorities are first to finish these two projects. Why do u shy away from media? Its nothing like I wont talk to the media. I usually talk less. The same continues during the film production. And also, I dont like to talk about my films. The work should speak for itself. Many fans are upset that you dont care for them. Not true.. I am a big fan of Annayya. So I am also one among them.I understand the admiration one has towards his favorite. The selfless encouragement they provide is invaluable. One thing I want to tell them is I am one among them. Tell us about you Pawan kalyan creative Team. Pawan Kalyan creative team is open for anyone with genuine interest and talent. There are no permanent members in the team. Freshers come in and go out experienced. Thanks Pawan Kalyan for giving us your valuable time. We wish you, on behalf of TT and it's Visitors, a very very happy birthday.

Richa Gangopadhyay Learns Telugu January 12, 2011 15:49

Richa Gangopadhyay is the gorgeous actress made her debut into Telugu cinema industry with   Sekhar Kammula’s ‘Leader’. She finished her education in US and entered Tollywood to   fulfill her wish to become an actress. Her latest movie Nagavalli is running successful   allover. “My wholesome concentration is on Telugu cinema. I would love to enact roles that   are quite realistic and meet the expectations of today’s generation.” Says this bubbly   actress. Her forthcoming film 'Mirapakay' is gearing up for its release soon. A simple   chat with this lovely lady revealed lot of things…let us know…  You have done a sensible role in ‘Leader’ and swiftly made a horror film Nagavalli?  I feel that i am the luckiest person to get this opportunity to act in Nagavalli. I am   extremely happy listening to the feedback I am getting for my performance in the film.   Everyone are saying that I looked beautiful in the film. What else can I ask in the very   early stages of my filmy career? So you are looking forward for only performance oriented roles? No no I did not limit myself to particular genre. In fact I do not believe in doing only   same kind of roles. I am ready to enact any kind of role. See…film industry is a glamour   world, and we must follow the trend. So what kind of roles you want to do?  I have done only two movies till date i.e Leader and Nagavalli. Both are completely   different from each other. And my third film is 'Mirapakay'. It is also a different film   for me. I am playing a girl-next-door kind of role in this movie. So this is a complete   mass entertainer. I even danced to the tunes of a couple of mass songs. Now I feel that   this movie will take me close the mass audience. Finally I am open to do any role.  There is a strong competition between heroines here. What efforts are you making to   establish yourself in the industry?  Competition is good everywhere. We have a healthy competitive atmosphere in Tollywood.   Coming to me, I try to understand my role and work on expressions. I always try to do my   best with the suggestions of director. I am trained under Anupam Kher and that is helping   me here a lot. I want to be called as director’s actress. So I am making efforts in that   way and learning Telugu also.  Looking at your three films, you had to share screen space with another actress. How do   you feel?  I do not have any problem if there is another actress sharing screen with me. As long as   there is importance for my role in the film, there is no need to bother about. Are you looking forward for your own dubbing? If I were given a chance I would definitely work on my self dubbing. Already I gained   command over Telugu to some extent.  We heard that you have learnt music also?  Yes it is true. I have learnt carnatic music. I often practice if I get leisure.  Will you sing for movies?  Yes I would definitely sing if i were given a chance.  What did you learn from your filmy experience?  I’ve completed my education from Michigan University. After that I went to my parents and   told them about my enthusiasm for movies. Initially they had disappointed and discouraged   me. Finally they were convinced with my stubborn behaviour . Recently I’ve watched   Nagavalli with my mother. She was very happy with me and has thrown a party to my friends   to celebrate my success. Soon I am going to visit my friends in US and spend sometime   there. And coming to my filmy experience…I am very happy. Rana, Venkatesh and Raviteja all   are very friendly.  You have been spotted in opening of textile shop and jewelry shops. What is the reason behind it?  I always strive to get close to audience. So those openings are my source to meet my fans   and audience. I manage to get their valuable suggestions and ideas.  What are your upcoming movies?  I am again doing a movie with Rana. Sri Raghava will be directing it. It will be very   special film for me.

Big Break to sing with Shreya Ghosha September 05, 2010 11:07

Extremely-confident and over-ambitious Charmy September 08, 2010 11:02

This is an interview with glamour gal "Charmi" At the age of 13, she acted as a housewife in 'Nee Thodu Kavali'. She is not even 16 now. She is already making inroads into Tollywood. She is currently acting in Bapu's latest film 'BAPU BOMMA'. Tell us about yourself? I am from a very normal family in Vasai, Mumbai. One day I was walking on the road, a model coordinator spotted me offered me a modeling assignment. I said I was not interested. He asked me to come for the shooting of a film. I want there and saw Abhishek Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor working for a film. Somebody spotted me over there and offered me a role in 'Nee Thodu Kaavali' in Telugu. I had my vacations going on at that time, so I said yes. I acted the role of a housewife at the age of 13. After completing 'Nee Thodu Kavali', my vacations were over. After reaching Mumbai, the bug of acting started biting me. I wanted to become a Hindi film heroine. I used to travel by local trains in 2nd class to scout for the opportunities as Bollywood heroine. I struggled for 3 months. Then T Rajender sir signed me for 'Kadal Azivadilai' (Kurradochadu in Telugu). And my acting career took off. I did 3 films in Tamil and one film in Malayalam. Then I made a re-entry into Telugu with 'Neeke Manasichanu' starring Srikanth. How do you feel working with such a great director who is none other than Bapu? Bapu Garu is a great director. i am feeling very happy to get a chance to act in his film. I now understood why every body like bapu gari films after working with him. What is Your character in this film? My character is a girl of age 16, and name of the character is pinky. In the shooting Bapu garu Repeatedly told “Thokalani monkey pinky”. Seeing my character in the film you will feel like seeing an ordinary Young girl who is very naughty and you also feel like seeing a neighborhood naughty girl . We will be reminded of Long hair, Naughty eyes and many more when we hear about bapu’s film So did you do any effort to achieve it? Every day I practiced in front of Bapu garu by giving poses and winkling the eye and lip movements at least for one hour. I did a lot of effort to learn these things. Saree, half saree, waist band, Bindhi, Mehandhi like this you can see all the features of “BAPU BOMMA ” in this character. We also heard that you are being considered for Allu Arjun's film 'Badrinath'? Talks are on. I will let you know about it soon. We heard that you have even fixed a weighing machine in your van? (giggles) Who told you that? It is true. I keep a weighing machine and watch with me wherever I go. Time and weight are two things, which are really important to me. If I value these two things, I can reach my destination. What are your strengths? What are your weaknesses?Positive thinking and confidence that I would shake the film industry, Chocolates! I am very moody. I am trying to have control over my weaknesses. You entered film industry at a small age. How are you going to continue your studies? Why do people study ? To have a job, earn money and have a good life. If I am having all those things and even more than that now, why do I need to continue studying? Don't you think you will miss college life and fun with friends? I think I am enjoying 3 times more that what I should have enjoyed going to college and spending time with friends. How different is your life in Hyderabad compared to Mumbai? It is same for me. I am not the kind of girl who takes everything in the life as it comes. I make the life happen the way I want it to be. Mumbai is more polluted and Hyderabad is less polluted. This is the only difference I noticed. How did you feel when you saw yourself first time on screen in a public theater? My mom wept after seeing me on big screen. I also wept, but for a different reason. My role was getting over in the first half itself. You are earning so much money at a tender age. Girls nxt door who can't stop drooling September 08, 2010 11:22

f looks could kill, Hrithik Roshan would easily be charged for mass murder. Rippling muscles, devastating light-green eyes, a killer smile, an affable charm coupled with the T.D.H factor is what makes Rakesh Roshan Jr. click - and in a big way too. Ask any shutterbug worth his Nikon and he can't stop raving aloud about those oh-so-purrfect muscles, that dreamy good look, that abundance of confidence, the obvious talent. And best of all, ask the girls next door who can't stop drooling over the latest pin-up boy to stormed the industry. They are the best barometers of all. And to cap it all, ask the trade watchers and they'll vouch for the fact that the Roshan dude is red-hot right now. The filmmakers simply love him, and what's more, they can't stop raving about his (yup, again) phenomenal talent. 'He's like magic on screen. He's going to be a super-star... I tell you!' insist the movers and shakers of movie town. And as if that wasn't all, Hrithik is rumoured to have bagged Shah Rukh Khan's next homeproduction (no less), to be directed by Farah Khan. Ask him and the shy guy shrugs, "Yes, the negotiations are on." Over to Hrithik now for an online chat. Girls hold on to your hearts, guys don't turn green. But read on nevertheless.. We heard somewhere that you initially wanted to become a director?"I've assisted my dad for five years. And it is true to a great extent that, yes, direction is my first love. But ever since I can remember I've always wanted to act. I was fascinated you can say, completely bitten by the acting bug. I want to do all kinds of roles. To experiment, to evolve as an actor. Direction can wait now. Maybe in the future, when I'm ready for it, I will direct. But right now I can't look beyond acting. I eat, drink, sleep and even dream films now. These days, I have a one-track mind. Work is my top priority. Acting is all that matters." How was it working with your first heroine, the pretty and petite Amisha Patel?"It was very comfortable working with Amisha. She's completely chilled out and non-filmi; so it's very easy to get along with her. There were times when I needed her to adjust with me during my scenes, she would do that without batting an eye. Even I would help her out with her scenes. We shared a terrific chemistry. In fact, I'm even doing Mohan Kumar's film with her which is being directed by Vikram Bhatt. Amisha's gonna go a long way, mark my words." And how would you rate yourself as an actor?"Oh, I'm never satisfied. I'm always trying to aim for more, I'm a perfectionist. Honestly, sometimes when people praise me, I want to tell them to stop it. Call me modest or whatever, I'd rather let my work speak for me."Hrithik what's its like to be the centre of attraction?Centre of attraction who me??? Really oh okay If you say so (big laugh follows) Do you think its because of your work or is it because of your incredible looks???I think its important to have the looks to some extent but its what's inside you which people get to see and that's what makes someone popular or unpopular. So I think it's not the looks in my case but it's my work as an artist, which has earned me the respect of the people at large you know you are hugely popular in Pakistan would you like to visit Pakistan?Yes I know and of course I would love to visit Pakistan whenever it's possible and meet all my friends there and get to know people there. There is no difference when it comes to people its unfortunate that India and Pakistan are always at logger heads and I really hope and pray that things get really better between neighbours and I am able to visit Pakistan.Do you think there is a chance things between India and Pakistan would improve in the near future?I am no politician I have no idea how things will be in the near future but its my heartfelt wish and very strong desire that both countries become friends and sooner the better because its only the poor masses which are suffering in both countries. And all these resources wasted on other things could be better spent on Health, Education, Infrastructure and Welfare of the people who are really in need of help on both sides of the border.what would you say to your fans both sides of the border???My message to everyone is love and peace, Life is too short to waste it .we could be helping build each others future and our generations to come will be for ever indebted to us.So lets make the most of it and spread a song of love and happiness. Hrithik is such a humble person it's unbelievable that for someone of his stature is so down to earth and friendly to everyone he speaks softly and gently but carries his message with a conviction. Its true in his case it's not just his looks which win fans over but it's really his personality, which makes him immensely popular.

“Badrinath is no way related to Magadheera ” , says milky beauty Tamanna May 10, 2011 15:42

Tamanna is one such actress who is known for her looks and her funda of choosing performance oriented roles. Her latest release 100% Love, managed to get a Superhit talk and more than Naga Chaitanya, Tamanna’s role in the movie is much talked about. Look forward to Andhrawishesh chit chat with Tamanna; AW: Hey Tamanna, congrats on 100% Love success. Tamanna: thanks AW: So, how is Tamanna feeling? Tamanna: on cloud nine. It feels so great when you get to know that the movie your are doing after a long time, in one of the biggest Industries such as Telugu cinema turns out to be a Huge success. In 100% Love, my role is not less than that of Naga Chaitanya. I knew the movie will be a sure short hit at the time of hearing the script itself. AW: Why so much of gap in acting in Telugu movies? Tamanna: well, this gap is definitely not planned. There was no interesting film that I have done between Happy Days and 100% Love. Meanwhile, I was busy with Tamil films as well. Infact, 100% Love is a kind of second innings in Telugu Film Industry. AW: Tell us something about Badrinath? Tamanna: I am confident that Badrinath will be the Movie of the year. The entire team and most important Allu Arjun has worked very hard for the film. The story itself is an extra – ordinary thought. And I am herein that many people are comparing Badrinath to Magadheera. I want to make this point clear that Badri Nath is no way related to any film. AW: We heard that you were all praises for Allu Arjun? Tamanna: why not? Almost every heroine dreams of acting with Allu Arjun, so did I. I am really thankful to Allu Arvind ji as he is the one who has given me two amazing films in my entire career, they being 100% Love and BadriNath. I would be known in Telugu Cinema for many years because of these two films. I really have to learn a lot from Allu Arjun, in terms of dedication and hard work and yes commitment towards the role enacted. AW: So, what are your future projects? Tamanna: Well, this time I do not want to reveal them. You would know the details soon. But I can surely promise on entertaining the audience with best of the films. AW: Any Dream role? Tamanna: every role that I play is a dream come true for me. To my fortune I have done characters that have a lot of scope for performance, both in Telugu and Tamil. What more I could ask for? I am striving only on keeping up to the audience expectations with every role I do. AW: sukumar or V.V.Vinayak. who is the best? Tamanna: please don’t ask me to choose between two eyes. Both sukumar and Vinay have their own style of film making. Sukumar is very lively and Vinay is very protective about his actors. Both are the best at their own place. AW: How is tamanna in real life? Tamanna: I am just like you. Just like every other girl. I am a big foodie, love to live in the moment, love shopping, love to munch on chocolates and Ice – creams and love to live in fantasies. AW: How do you react to gossips? Tamanna: gossips or rumours are just rumours at the end of the day. They once again prove that people are talking about you. For instance, people linked me up with hero Karti, now all this proved wrong as Karti announced his marriage date. I have nothing to say, not even to react about rumours. AW: What is your beauty/fitness secret? Tamanna: I am blessed with a good skin and good Body structure. I just maintain, that’s it. I eat everything but in moderate. I regularly go for Yoga. And yes, drink lots of water and juices. AW: Any message to our readers? Tamanna: well, just like 100% love, badrinath is also a superb movie. So please watch it and do not encourage piracy.
