It is three months since the bomb blasts occurred at Hyderabad Dilsukhnagar that is responsible for a death toll of 17 and injury to 119 persons. Every one visited the place and the injured at hospitals including the Prime Minister of India Manmohan Singh and the Chief Minister of AP Kiran Kumar Reddy. It is only referred to assess the importance given by the Government of India and the State Government.

Compensation and a job to the next kin of the dead is promised by the Governments and bearing of expenses in full at the Corporate Hospitals where they were medically treated.

But a 29 year old Sudhakar is running from pillar to post for the last three months to get his file moved from one place to another and still do not know the status of it.

Sudhakar is the eldest son of V.Ramulu who served GHMC as a Superintendant was killed in the Dilsukhnagar bomb blast who was the only earning member of the family. He is promised a job in GHMC as a Junior Assistant. AS Sudhakar is a MCA he requested the officials to give him a Senior Assistant position. But none of those posts were offered to him in spite of his going to all the officers concerned, Commissioner of GHMC and also MLA Jayasudha.

Entire family members Sudhakar, his mother Andalu, his sisters Swati and Sravanti have been knocking the doors of all the responsible high level persons. Where ever they went, they were received well, promised to do the needful but nothing happened.

A vexed Sudhakar met media persons to tell them his story with a hope of getting help from the quarters concerned if the story is published.

Education- Intermediate Course http://www.andhrawishesh.com/home/wishesh-special/39869-education-intermediate-course.html http://www.andhrawishesh.com/home/wishesh-special/39869-education-intermediate-course.html Education- Intermediate Course

A very good response was witnessed for the Para-medical courses in 2 years Intermediate courses particularly from the rural areas.  The students who opted for the Para Medical courses could get jobs after completion of Intermediate.  This was found very attractive to them.

But, as per the recent decision of the Medical Welfare Department the minimum qualification for such courses should be Intermediate.

Students who took the Para Medical courses like Lab Technician, Multipurpose Health Workers and other such courses could get jobs after Intermediate and could become an earning member of the family to help their elders or to have financial independence.

Now, as per the decision of making Intermediate as the minimum qualification instead of 10th class as followed till now for such courses, they are going to disappear in the offer of courses in the Intermediate from next academic year.

Azhagiyasingar Narayana Yateendra Mahadesikan http://www.andhrawishesh.com/home/wishesh-special/39852-ahobila-math-45th-head-passes-away.html http://www.andhrawishesh.com/home/wishesh-special/39852-ahobila-math-45th-head-passes-away.html Azhagiyasingar Narayana Yateendra Mahadesikan

There is a parallel education system and honors in it.  In fact that was the original one!  There are scholars in that field who dedicated their lives in that path.  An arduous training and a lot of research has to be done before they are conferred with titles.  They are Acharyas (Professors) of spiritual science.

Alayasingar Narayana yateendra Mahadesikan who was the Head of Ahobila Narasimha swamy Math passed away last night.  He was 87.  He was the 45th head of the Math.

Conferring a responsibility of a head on a disciple is not an automatic action.  Disciples first get Sanyasa (vow for celibacy) from an able Acharya.  Then they study the scriptures at the feet of the Acharya and go on researching deep in to it.  Silently hear the preaching of their Master.

Narayana Yateendra was the fourth one in the hierarchy to get the name ‘Narayana’ from his Guru.  His name before taking Sanyasa was Krishnamacharya.

Krishnamacharya after getting the foundation in the spiritual path from his elder brother Vedanta Vaavadhook Narayanachariar Swamy and then went to the Math to learn Nyaya and Meemamsa from the 42 and 43rd heads of the Math by becoming their disciple.  He studied many scriptures of Vaishnava culture of spirituality and studied with a great insight into Bhagavad Gita and Nalayira Divya Prabandham.  With the deep knowledge over the scriptures he gave discourses on Sri Bhashyam, Rahasya Traya Saram, Ramayana, Bharata, Bhagavatha, Bhagavad Gita and Tiruppavai and ran a periodical of the Math, Sri Narasimha Priya as an Editor of the Journal.

He was made the 45th Jiyar (Head) of the math in October 1991 by the 44th Jiyar who made efforts to construct Raja Gopuram in Srirangam and got sick in that year.

The last rites of 45th Jiyar Sri Narayana Yateendra Mahadesikan were performed today morning beside the 44th Jiyar’s Brindavan (Samadhi).

Impractical Opposition-2 http://www.andhrawishesh.com/home/wishesh-special/39818-impractical-opposition-2.html http://www.andhrawishesh.com/home/wishesh-special/39818-impractical-opposition-2.html Impractical Opposition-2

(There is an opposition party in a State that is very impractical in its way of functioning. For the purpose of addressing, let us here in after call it The Party. The Party’s way of political functioning was detailed in 18 points in part-1 of the essay)

1. Now shall we know what happened to the Party?

As the capable Party leaders did not have enough money they all lost the elections excepting a few. As the leaders with money joined other parties who offered them good returns for the monies they invest in the elections and also guarantee good positions to earn back as much as they can.

The few elected from The Party were given two choices. Either they should join their party or face some criminal charges or other.

2. Want to know what happened to the Chief and founder of The Party?

When he founded the Party, he was a rich person having inherited property worth Rs.10000 Crores. When the elections came, he hardly had money to make posters. He could not collect party funds from the donations of commercial houses as he could not offer anything to them. He could not manage paid news about him. He could not manage public opinion through SMSs in favor of him. He could not afford to have TV interviews with a screen play written in advance. He was found by the police having possession of arms and also drugs. But a benefit of doubt made his free movement possible. But he did not choose to join or support other parties. He was disqualified to contest the elections. His nomination paper along with his declaration of assets to the tune of one lakh of Rupees was rejected by election commissioner as his signature was not tallying with that of the signature on the Aadhar, Ration card and PAN cards.

His disqualification saved him from an accident on the road and cases against him. He lived for 20 years more working for a Chartered Accountant. He never watched news on the TV or read a news paper during rest of his life. When he died first a case of death of an unidentified person was registered. But the complaint of the Chartered Account Firm that their clerk is not reporting for a week who was supposed to deposit some money in their Bank account made the police link with the unidentified person’s death.

A curious journalist made some inquiries here and there and brought his story out and made it popular which was copied by all other media persons in the fit of frenzy to maintain stride with other media. In the meanwhile bigger news cropped up due to a bomb blast. The story of the Party founder was drowned and forgotten totally. His family members who thought he might have committed suicide 20 years ago heaved a sigh of relief with the news losing prominence.

It is not a pessimistic imagination. The State could have progressed under the Governance of The Party if it is given a chance to do it. Only thing that stopped it from winning the elections is the money element dictating the politics.

Interestingly, The Party chief never took it as a win over the contesting parties because of which he did not take it as a defeat.

Impractical Opposition http://www.andhrawishesh.com/home/wishesh-special/39762-impractical-opposition.html http://www.andhrawishesh.com/home/wishesh-special/39762-impractical-opposition.html Impractical Opposition

There is an opposition party in a State that is very impractical in its way of functioning.

For the purpose of addressing, let us here in after call it The Party.

1. The Party announces its own programs but never criticizes other parties.

2. The programs of The Party are not promises that will be fulfilled after its coming back to power. That means their promises are not conditional.   It is not something they will do if and when people vote for them and give them a chance to rule.

3. The Party never spends time in conducting campaigning to tell about their good intentions and ability to do good for the people.

4. The Party instead of finding fault with the party in power; it gives suggestions to improve and offers its help to do it that too by contacting the Government but not through public announcements or through media.

5. The Party does not spend any money to make occasions to expose themselves to public to gain good will but they spend party funds in the projects in the interests of public welfare like drinking water, rescue operations in flood hit areas or those hit by natural calamities.

6. As they believe in democracy, they follow it in their party system also.  The Party is not a one man show.  The leader of the Party is elected by secret ballot.  Whoever is elected as the head of the Party does not try to push his sibling to become his heir.

7. The Party gets its accounts audited by an individual practitioner elected in the general body meeting conducted every year and keeps it open for public scrutiny.

8. It calls for the party workers who do not expect anything from the Party for the services they render other than the remuneration fixed in the general body meeting.

9. The Party makes it clear to the party workers and leaders that the working of the Party will be transparent even after the power is vested in it by the public voting in their favor in the elections.

10. The Party makes it clear to the party workers and the leaders that no ministries are guaranteed after getting into power.  And also the following points are cleared.

11. Ministries will be given to the capable persons with an educational background and experience to manage that particular wing’s ministry.

12. Ministers will only get their remuneration as per the last Government’s salary structure.

13. All decisions and negotiations of ministers will be video recorded to avoid any possible kick backs.

14. Ministers need not be appointed out of the elected members of The Party. They can be chosen from other elected members belong to other parties also if they are found more capable of managing the ministry than anyone in The Party.

15. The Party Members are at liberty to leave the Party at any time if they are not satisfied with the ways of the Party.

16. The elected members of the Party should be physically and mentally fit and there is an age limit to work as a public servant.

17. As the entire treasury belongs to the public and as the Government is only a custodian to it and the public assets, giving a subsidy by Government at its whims and fancies or as an attractive offer to get popularity and to strengthen our vote bank is ruled out.  Whatever subsidy or any other compensation to be declared will be as per the public opinion but not as a kind and humane gesture of the Government.

18. Last but not the least is the election manifesto that is very simple.  The Party promises the general public that it will safe guard the monies and assets of the State and spend judiciously.  In order to come out of the State debts, the State will be made commercially strong by selling the products of the State to other States or other Countries.  In addition to the attempt to increase the revenue of the State, expenditure of the State will be brought down which can be by scrapping increments of public servants for some time.  All efforts will be made to make the State self sufficient without expecting any special grants from the Central Government excepting the rightful share in the common revenues.

If you want to know what happened to The Party, let us flow our imagination more and come back in a day or two.  You can compare with your imagination and you can improve our version.

The Venkateswara Natya Mandali, Surabhi group of stage artists who went to France to participate in the "Passages International Theater Festival" at Metz in France gave a good performance on Saturday to get appreciations for their acting talent.

The French Minister for Culture Aurelie Filipetti watched the play “Bhakta Prahlada” and as reported by the Alliance Francaise she was thoroughly impressed with the performance.  Some other news papers also wrote high about the Surabhi group.

43 artists left Lalitha Kala Thoranam to attend the theater festival at Metz started on 4th May.  Surabhi was the only group that earned the honors of attending such a festival abroad.  For better following of the audience there a screen showing subtitles of the dialogues in French was arranged.

A total of 43 artists alongwith their equipment’s passage to France costed a lot.  But with the help of Indian Council for Cultural Relations and some drama organizations and individual’s sponsoring made their trip possible for the Surabhi troupe Venkateswara Natya Mandali consisting of child artists to old.

The 128 years old Surabhi group has been staging Bhakta Prahlada, Mayabazar, Sri Krishna Leelalu and other mythological plays which need special make up and tricks like sage Narada descending from heavens, Bala Krishna showing his open mouth that beholds Viswam, the entire creation and many more tricks displayed with the help of special equipment, screens and lighting effect.  The group is famous for changing the backdrops instantly.

Tirupati Gangamma festival http://www.andhrawishesh.com/home/wishesh-special/39719-tirupati-gangamma-festival.html http://www.andhrawishesh.com/home/wishesh-special/39719-tirupati-gangamma-festival.html Tirupati Gangamma festival

Tirupati Town is celebrating fifth day of Gangamma festival today.

The festival called Gangamma Jatara is observed by the residents of Tirupati with devotion.  It is being followed by highly educated and people of high society too in spite of the odd nature of the customs followed in the Jatara.

tirupathi-jatara1

As the story goes, Palegadu a chieftain in Tirupati Village, outrages the modesty of a woman and Gangamma vows to kill him.  Knowing this Palegadu hides somewhere and Gangamma goes on hunting for him in the village.  In her search for the criminal she covers all roads, lanes and sublanes in disguise and calls him with all names in slang language to provoke him and to make him come out of his hiding place.  At last she traces him and kills him.  The Jatara is based on this story.

Small ones to eldest in the town go out wearing odd things like leaves, brooms, chappals etc in these Jatara days and also men make up to disguise as ladies and go in to the streets and lanes calling whoever they look at with filthy language.  They believe that it pleases the deity Gangamma Talli.  The person who abuse others and the person who gets abuses also enjoy it as it is a custom during these Jatara days.

Ladies do not venture to come out as they may have to hear many abuses half of which may not be understandable to them but the way it is mouthed they can understand that it is an abuse in slang language.

Tirumal Tirupati Devastanams the management of the famous Temple Balaji on Tirumala Hill and also other temples in and around Tirupati wanted long back to stop this practice in Tirupati town as the place is a holy one with lakhs of piligrims visiting from all corners of the country.  Tirupati is no more a small village now.  It is developed in to a big town with big hotels, a University, Medical College and Vedic school etc.  As such, TTD took help of authorities to ban Gangamma Jatara.  But the belief was so strong among the natives of Tirupati, TTD had to step back.  Collector’s notice was not respected.  After fighting for some years finally TTD and also the authorites had to let it go.

It shows that there is no dearth for the people interested in adventures.

The private space research organization is going to conduct survey on Mars about the atmosphere suitable for living, water resources and construction activity for human dwelling and other things related to human habitat.  The selected ones will be imparted training to look after themselves to survive in odd conditions.

The scene will be like earliest inhabitants (Adivasis) on Earth enacted by modern people on a different stage.  The difference is the modern counter parts developed communication skills, technically advanced and above all know their purpose of living on the planet where as the mankind on Earth had to start from scratch and bite and still do not know the purpose of life on Earth and the art of living with Nature.

We see comedy roles in the movies with their professional funny dialogues uttered in all the occasions.  Like a teacher calls 'silence' in the house, a judge says 'order order', a railway station master says 'no signal or red flag' like that.  An addict of alcohol, cards, horse races and other persons whose lives totally occupy a special activity use that terminology in the movies to make situations humorous.  Sometimes they utter those catchy words even in their dying scenes to touch the hearts of the audience.

All the above just comes to mind as Anam comments on YS Jagan’s inappropriate assets and money laundering cases.  So many have commented on the occasion of Supreme Court’s rejecting bail petition of YS Jagan but Anams remarks it as-  "How anyone but a fool can think of getting bail to a person that robbed the State to the extent of a year's budget of a State?"

The person who made the above comments is none other than Nellore MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy brother of the State Finance Minister Anam Rama Narayana Reddy.
