Arthritic patients may soon smile due to pain-relief that may be possibe in future. Researchers from the University have identified a plant, belonging to the poppy family, that has powerful compounds which can be used for relieving pain.

The crucial compound, free of side-effects, is found in the roots of the plant, according to reports in the Daily Express. The compound dehydrocorybulbine, found in corydalis plant,  has been identified by scientists to be effective in relieving three types of pain - chronic, inflammatory and acute.
