Earning a Green Card is easier now

Until now the visa system in US was more of visa outsourcing rather than importing workers but the scenario is about to get changed. Immigration laws will receive a major overhaul which allow more Indians to work in the US.

The H-1B visa which has created a lot of corrupt works behind the back in the US, though very few have been exposed, will also be amended to increase the quota for Indians. The senate panel has proposed that the new regulation will double the number of H-1B visas being issued in the US from 65,000 to 130,000. Primary reason for making such a huge allowance is the shortage of skilled workers in several sections of the nation.

However, it is to be noted that the most benefited wouldn't be those companies that shuttle workers between home nation and US but the international students who come to US and prefer to stay back with work opportunities and contribute to the US economy. If the proposals are accepted, H-1B visas for US students in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) would earn their H-1B visas as easy as a pie which will eventually get them their Green Cards sooner or later.

Students from Andhra Pradesh form a vast majority of the Indians studying in the US at any given time. This indicates that the chances of a bright future are bettering in the US as opposed to the past when H-1B visa applications were one of the nightmares.

At least 100,000 Indian students are enrolled to colleges in the US at any given point of time. With this alone, $3 billion flows into the economy of the US. Not everything is greener across the seas. The number of Green Cards for siblings will be reduced drastically though. However, children and spouses will have no problem with their applications.
