Lagadapati comes into picture again

Congress MP Lagadapati Rajgopal, who has been strongly advocating for a unified AP, has said that centre's stand on Telangana issue was clarified with the statements of the union home minister Sushil Kumar Shinde. He has allegedly linked Telangana issue with other states and said similar demands would pop up across the country in case Telangana was carved out.  Taking on TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu, Lagadapati has said that Chandrababu Naidu's dual standards would be revealed by him in a photo exhibition, which he said he would soon start in Delhi.

While Congress high command and even prime minister Manmohan Singh time and again requested people in Andhra Pradesh not to make provocative statements on Telangana and stressed Telangana issue was sensitive, was it not trying to disturb the peace of the people by making such statements especially when TJAC was gearing up for Telangana March, questioned the peace lovers and political observers in the state.

Also, observers opined that Lagadapati Rajagopal's statements were likely to corner Congress party in the state since TDP too took people's view into consideration and apparently decided to write a letter in favour of Telangana state. And YSRC too said it was not against bifurcation.
