What else to expect when the Oscar Winning film maker Danny Boyle is at the helm of affairs at the Opening ceremony of the London Olympics 2012. The whole event is sure to be a technology extravaganza. Officially the opening ceremony shall commence with a big bang of a 27-ton bell, the largest harmonically tuned bell in the world, forged at London's 442-year-old Whitechapel Bell Foundry, which made London's Big Ben and Philadelphia's Liberty Bell. Precisely at 9 pm locally,  or 4 pm, on the east coast, 1 pm, in the bay and the rest of the west coast, fasten your seat belts to watch this extravaganza.

After the formalities the Opening ceremony will have a magnum opus show designed by the Oscar winner. The International Olympic Association and the organizers have successfully kept the issue under wraps while the global audience are guessing. The three hour show is to be worth nearly £27m. If that's mind blowing then the other issue is that the filmmaker is said to have enlisted the likes of Sir Paul McCartney and James Bond star Daniel Craig to play a part. Well as of now everything else is suspense. However the Organizers of the opening ceremony of the London 2012 Olympics have released a 30 second clip from a dress rehearsal for the event. The event is said to have a huge star-cast of 10,000 performers, 70 sheep, 12 horses, ten chickens, three cows, two goats, eight geese and three dogs.

Moreover, the pageant show by Slumdog Millionaire director will transform the Olympic Stadium into rolling British countryside, complete with live farmyard animals. The event shall depict the Britain's Past-Present-Future. The film maker is supposed to be inspired by William Shakespeare, British pop culture, literature, and music, and other sources of inspiration that will speak not just to Anglophiles but to people across the globe. The special effects and the acoustics effects coupled with visual treats are sure to excel imaginations speculate many. Probably a treat that technology only can explain.
