The TDP had previously announced their 'Super-Six' schemes, and their partner, the JSP, proposed a few ideas to incorporate into the document. It is worth noting that in September, after meeting Mr. Naidu at the Rajamahendravaram Central Prison where the former Chief Minister was held on remand in the skill development scam case, Mr. Kalyan expressed his determination to form an alliance with the TDP. Their shared objective is to prevent the splitting of the anti-YSR Congress vote. Since then, the alliance has been gearing up to confront the YSRCP. Jagan Constitutes YSR Congress BC Cell Committee December 18, 2023 17:41

Jagan Constitutes YSR Congress BC Cell Committee:- Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is actively championing the cause of the Backward Classes (BC) as part of his strategy for the upcoming 2024 elections. To solidify the support of the BC community, he has established a YSRC BC cell committee, headed by prominent BC leader Janga Krishnamurthy. This committee, which forms a crucial part of the party's Mission 2024, consists of three vice-presidents, eight zonal in-charges, five general secretaries, 15 secretaries, and 10 joint secretaries. During the 2019 elections, Krishnamurthy, along with other BC leaders, played a pivotal role in drafting the party's BC Declaration and successfully attracting BCs, who were traditionally supporters of the Telugu Desam party, to the ruling party. In a strategic move, Jagan Mohan Reddy has also accommodated several BCs in his Cabinet and offered them nominated positions as MPs and MLCs. The committee's office-bearers, apart from Krishnamurthy (Palnadu), include the following individuals: Dola Jagan (Srikakulam), Kandru Kamala (Mangalagiri), and Bathala Hari Prasad (Sri Sathya Sai) as vice-presidents; Dharmana Krishna Chaithanya (Srikakulam) as in-charge for Zone-1; Thulli Chandrasekhar Rao (Visakhapatnam) for Zone-2; Alli Raja Babu (Kakinada) for Zone-3; Kasagoni Durgarao Gowd (NTR) for Zone-4; Botla Rama Rao (Prakasam) for Zone-5; Thodamalla Pullaiah (Tirupati) for Zone-6; Golla Nagaraju Yadav (Kurnool) for Zone-7; and Ramesh Gowd from Anantapur as the in-charge for Zone-8. The government has prioritized BCs and other marginalized groups by allocating them a significant number of seats, positions, and opportunities. This inclusivity extends to various roles such as mayors, chairpersons of ZPs, corporations, temple trust boards, and sarpanchs. In contrast, sources from the YSRC party have revealed that Jagan Mohan Reddy is currently focusing on BCs as they hold the power to influence the outcome of all 175 seats in the upcoming elections. They also highlighted that Jagan Mohan Reddy was the first to offer BCs Rajya Sabha seats, a gesture that the TD party never made, despite receiving support from BCs since its establishment.

Revanth Reddy puts GO 111 Repeal on Hold December 18, 2023 16:23

Revanth Reddy puts GO 111 Repeal on Hold:- Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has reportedly decided to postpone the repeal of the controversial GO 111, which aimed to prevent pollution within a 10-km radius of Osmansagar and Himayatsagar by limiting growth. Last year, the K. Chandrasekhar Rao-led government repealed the GO, but did not implement its replacement, Government Order 63, which discussed guidelines for changing land use from conservation to residential, commercial, or multipurpose purposes. During a recent review meeting, the Chief Minister questioned the justification for constructing the Metro Rail corridor between Raidurg and the Shamshabad airport along the Outer Ring Road, stating that it would be a wasteful expense due to the significant portion of the area covered by GO 111, which restricts growth. This sentiment was reiterated during an informal conversation with the media on Thursday. It appears that Chandrasekhar Rao hastily announced GO 111 prior to the elections in an attempt to portray a positive image of real estate in Hyderabad and gain support from voters in villages affected by the order. Despite assurances from the BRS government to prevent lake pollution and create a master plan prior to allowing any activity, environmentalists remain skeptical. A senior official from the municipal administration and urban development department stated that no permissions would be granted until guidelines and zonal planning are established, as promised to the High Court. However, the previous government approved certain applications for land use change in Vattinagulapalli, based on the High Court's decision to release specific survey numbers from the restricted zone. It is worth noting that the restricted development zone was referenced in the GO 111, without specifying any survey numbers.

Revanth Reddy suggest changes for Airport Metro December 13, 2023 16:04

Revanth Reddy suggest changes for Airport Metro:- Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is considering a different Metro Rail route that would better serve the needs of commuters, as opposed to the Raidurg-Shamshabad airport route that the previous BRS government strongly advocated for. The state government intends to either eliminate or delay the Raidurg-airport route and instead focus on establishing a line between Lakdikapul and the Financial District. Additionally, they plan to complete the JBS-Falaknuma corridor and extend it to the airport via Pahadi Shareef, effectively covering significant areas of the Old City and the tech corridor. During a meeting with the seven legislators of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) on the development of the Old City, the Chief Minister hinted at this revolutionary change, which could be his first significant contribution to urban development. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of determining which route would be more beneficial for passengers, especially those commuting to the IT corridor. He highlighted the need for routes that would be convenient for passengers and their family members who frequently travel to the airport and cannot afford alternative modes of transportation. The prevailing belief is that this initiative would solely benefit a select group of real estate agents who have amassed vast amounts of land. The BRS administration was incredibly enthusiastic about the venture, to the extent that they favored an engineering procurement construction (EPC) agreement, fully financed by the state government, instead of a collaboration between the public and private sectors.
