Initially, she used to feel the sounds to be odd and to divert her children from those, she used to increase the volume of the Television.  Even though, as she felt that, there is not much change, she lodged a complaint with the Birmingham City Council about the noises that came out of her apartment.  The complaint said, ‘Gemma Wale’, a woman used to scream and shout loud during the intimacy. Those sounds are even obstructing the sleep of the neighbors.  After receiving the complaint, when the officials inquired the neighbors about the case, all opined the same, saying that her screaming while having intimacy literally spoiled their quality time.    Then, the officials arrested Gemma Wale and jailed her for two weeks on the subject of anti social behavior.   By Phani

Capital city, Delhi, is it possible to live healthy, here June 02, 2015 11:47

It has been found that Delhi's air is the most polluted in the world, half of its children have impaired lung functions. More than 70% of water supplied by Delhi Jal Board are undrinkable; it is contaminated with leakage from sewers. The population has grown from nearly 17.60 lakh 1.8 crore, the highest growth rate for any Indian city. Delhi has about 0.05 percent of the India's geographical area, but consists of 1.38 percent of the nation's population. Total number of vehicles in Delhi are more than what other three major metros of the country have, their number per km has increased from 37 to 134 since 1981. Every fifth home in the capital has a car. Government schools, hospitals, public parks have all disappeared, health and education have become the privilege of the rich. The Central and state governments in NCR, dither on fixing air quality and its residents are paying the price with their health. Times of India has published an article by Gardiner Harris, South Asia correspondent of The New York Times, on his decision to return to the US, due to the harm Delhi's air has done to his eight-year-old son, Bram. "It was a tough decision, but I told my bosses that I will have to move back. My stint here was the best job I ever had. My sons have their best friends here, but we asked ourselves, what are we doing? Lung problem is an invisible disease, but it can't be neglected," Harris said. Many expatriates in the city said that they found, the quality of life is "severely compromised" by living in Delhi.Chris Carlisle, senior manager of an automobile company in Okhla, said that he wears a mask while cycling. "I cycle a lot, but always wear a mask. The air quality bothers me. I have noticed that the air quality index (AQI) in winter goes up to 10 times the safe standard. During Christmas last time, it was 600. You can definitely feel it when it's high and you have to stay indoors."Genevieve Chase and her husband have decided to move back to the US after living in Delhi for three years. She is wary of exposing her children, aged 10 and 12, to dirty air. "We have decided not to elongate our stay because our kids are not as active here when compared with how they are in places with cleaner air. As a public health professional, I feel very strongly about it." She keeps her children indoors whenever the air quality index shoots up.Keshav Varma, who was World Bank's director for East Asia from 1997 to 2009, said "Delhi is a gas chamber, but most people don't understand how pollution is harming their health," Varma added."There's that permanent 'diesel' smell in the air. And it (Delhi) does try and balance it with some green areas but needs so much more, and so much more investment in the Metro and local electric trains," wrote a member in a British expat group discussion.By Premji

TRS bribed extra MLAs for 200 crores? June 02, 2015 11:14

In MLC elections, the TDP party had to face an insult in the Telangana state by not winning the seat. But, a few of the TDP leaders are now alleging that, the result is due to the foul politics played by CM KCR, underground.First of all, a key leader like Revanth Reddy’s arrest itself is a tight jolt to TDP, on the other hand, within few hours of the arrest, losing in the MLC elections is another jolt where, the party could not digest it. So, the party members are trying to do their best, to allege KCR, taking out some controversial points.Errabelli demands CBI probeThe TDP party leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao said that, KCR bribed 200 crores for securing extra MLAs for the MLC elections. He further demanded probe by Central Bureau of Investigation into all the transactions.   “How can a party which has a strength of 63 MLAs in the house, can win all the five seats contested,” Errabelli questioned.    He tried to divert the case of Revanth Reddy towards KCR, alleging that, Revanth Reddy had approached the court against the voting rights given to nominated Anglo-Indian MLA Elvis Stephenson. Therefore, it was Stephenson, who approached Revanth Reddy offering to vote for TDP candidate Vem Narender Reddy in the MLC elections. He alleged that Revanth Reddy was selectively picked by KCR to defame him and the party. The allegations are not baseless! The allegations of Errabelli cannot be dropped down completely as it is to be noted that, KCR recently hinted the media, that a surprise is waiting. The signal is regarding the winning of the extra seat in the MLC elections, the political analysts opined.    Before the declaration of the results, KCR’s confidence of the victory is paving the way to doubt on him that, he might have done some underground work. In fact, there is a news that KCR is making all special efforts to win the extra seat. The total strength of MLAs who supported the TRS party during the MLC elections is 85. But this figure is very far away from the actual figure (TRS MLAs), that is 63. So, it can be said that, Errabelli allegations are not baseless and that is the reason for his demand to order a CBI probe into the issue.Rivals of TDP made TRS win extra seatFlipping the coin to the other side, it can be said that, it is due to the welfare programmes conducted by the TRS government, and the hardcore rivals of TDP made the extra MLAs to support the party. However, the reaction of KCR regarding the allegations is yet to be heard.By Phani

‘Nava Nirmana Deeksha’ is not a celebration! June 02, 2015 10:14

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will participate in the ‘Nava Nirmana Deeksha’ on the occasion of completion of one year of bifurcation of the Telugu states. On one side, Telangana formation day celebrations are taking place in Telangana state and on the other side, even in AP state, in the name of ‘Nava Nirmana Deeksha’, a programme is conducted at Benz circle, in Vijayawada on Tuesday. The AP government instructed to conduct the programme in all the District and the Mandal headquarters too.Generally, the formation of Andhra Pradesh is actually to be celebrated every year in the undivided state, but the state government has decided to observe the day as 'reconstruction day' as the bifurcation of the undivided Andhra Pradesh was carried out against the wishes of the people.Naidu is disturbed with the bifurcation! It seems like, Naidu is highly disturbed with the bifurcation of the states, but he is not able to express it openly, as again that would create an issue and might even question his existence in the state. That is why, he might be putting his opinion differently and saying that, the Congress-led UPA government divided the United State without even a capital and that is the reason of the Congress candidates, to not even get the deposits in the elections. Frankly speaking, though the Congress party was the key reason for the formation of Telangana, though not in AP, it could not mark its identity in Telangana too, as the promotion was nowhere done by the Congress leaders. On the other hand, this has turned advantageous to KCR and thus utilized the opportunity properly and is today, the first Chief Minster of a new state called Telangana.      AP CM marked his identity by fulfilling promises! In this one year, KCR could mark his identity in announcing the welfare programmes and AP CM could mark, his identity by implementing them too. The assurances Naidu gave at the time of elections were fulfilled soon after he became Chief Minister on June 8. In fact, Naidu openly said that, June 2 was not a day of celebration, but to observe ‘Nava Nirmana Deeksha.’ Lets see, how the people treat this ‘Deeksha’ and how Naidu speech inspires the people. KCR strategy on Revanth Reddy! June 02, 2015 09:59

Is TRS party trying to eliminate Revanth Reddy till his completion of Assemble tenure?, is it trying to make him ineligible?, these are a few of the questions that are currently doing the rounds in the political circles.Revanth Reddy, who has been caught red handed bribing, was taken to Chanchalguda jail. A few of the political critics opined that, it is the strategy of the TRS government. Regarding this, the critics are making some more estimations that, the TRS party officials are planning to degrade Revanth Reddy more, by performing unethical politics.KCR is making all the underground work to eliminate Revanth Reddy from the assembly. Even, a few of the TRS officials accepted the fact unofficially. Regarding this, TRS party VIPs and other ministers are proposing a demand of eliminating Revanth from the assembly. From the beginning of the formation of the state, Revanth Reddy has always been anti to the TRS party. In fact, in many public meetings, he openly criticized KCR.Reasons for TRS to target Revanth Reddy! 1. Regarding the lands issue, Revanth Reddy said that, KCR is giving his unofficial support to ‘My Home’ Rameshwar Rao.2. During the time of the Telangana Household survey, Revanth Reddy said that, the survey was not conducted in a genuine way, as TRS MP Kavitha's name was registered twice. This went very viral and even TRS party officials demanded the assembly to eliminate Revanth till an apology from him was heard.3. Later, TDP officials are suspended from the assembly alleging that, they insulted national anthem. Even this was to target Revanth Reddy, the report said.So all the above reasons made TRS party, in fact, KCR to especially concentrate on Revanth Reddy, and is thus doing all the underground work to make him ineligible to enter the assembly for the next four years. But on the other side, TDP party, who got to know KCR strategy, is in an thought of making Revanth Reddy to resign for the post and reelect again. However, the future decides the fate of Revanth Reddy in the politics, which is presently in a threat.    By Phani

Are Uber female passengers prone to molestation? June 02, 2015 09:46

In yet another incident a 21-year-old woman has accused the driver of an Uber cab of trying to kiss her forcefully after getting off at her destination in Gurgaon, putting the taxi-hailing company in a fresh controversy just in a period of six months after the alleged rape of a passenger in Delhi which has led to the service being banned in the capital city. The victim woman, lives in Delhi and is a professional dancer, she boarded the cab from Pacific Mall at about 9 PM to go to Gurgaon to attend her friend's party. The driver, Vinod, allegedly tried to make small talk and be friendly with her throughout the journey, by asking about her family, friends, etc. "At one point, he said 'madam, aap bahut smart lag rahe ho (madam, you're looking very smart)," she told. "But he didn't misbehave during the journey," she said. After she got off the cab at Suncity, Vinod alighted, too, to help her take her bags out of the boot. "He offered a handshake and kissed my hand. Before I could recover from the shock, he pulled me towards him and tried to kiss me again. I pushed him away with the bag in my hand and ran to my friend's home," she said. Vinod, she added, was driving a Swift Dzire and "seemed to be around 40 years old". Her brother posted an online complaint with Uber states, "My sister availed your cab service, last night for Gurgaon and your driver Vinod tried to kiss her forcibly and even after registering a complaint with you morons, there has been no action, no update from your end. You people are pathetic you still don't have any mechanism in place. What is making you people wait for so long?? Looking for a (sic) escape mechanism?? I am looking for immediate, non-mechanical, machine oriented revert. Get the culprit punished or you are in heaps of trouble for shielding him." “Our team immediately reached out to the rider via phone within minutes of receiving the feedback. Uber has a zero-tolerance policy towards inappropriate behaviour and immediate action has already been taken with the driver partner even while the matter is being thoroughly investigated," the company said. Terming it as a "worrisome", Association of Radio Taxi India called for an immediate action in this regard. "It is indeed a very worrisome situation for Taxi industry. Despite the ban in Delhi these services are growing," said Kunal Lalani, President of Association of Radio Taxi India and Chairman, Mega cabs. "The situation needs to be addressed immediately before something more heinous happens. Though we need Ola and Uber but not at the cost of such mishaps," he added. The Gurgaon police has received a complaint from the victim woman through an email, narrating the incident. “In the complaint, the woman has alleged that she took an Uber cab from Pacific Mall in Delhi to Suncity in Gurgaon during which the incident took place”, said Rajesh Kumar, ACP (crime). MLC election results out June 01, 2015 19:40

The most awaited MLC election results are finally out on Monday evening. As expected TRS won five seats and the remaining one seat is won by the Congress. On Monday, a total of 118 candidates utilized their votes out of 120 votes available to cast elect six members of the Legislative Council in the polling held in Assembly premises. The counting was completed by around 7 pm on Monday and before the official announcement of the results, the TRS party members already started celebrating the victory.Though TRS is expected to drop four candidates for the four posts, KCR shocked the political critics and the opposition parties by dropping the fifth candidate into the race. Actually, most of the political critics opined that, KCR is over confident by introducing the fifth contestant, but it was now proved that, he is not over confident but just confident.  Kadiyam Srihari, Thummala Nageshwar Rao, K Yadav Reddy, Neeti Vidya Sagar Rao, B Venkateshwarlu are the five candidates who contested from TRS and all of them won in the elections. The other candidate is Akula Lalitha from Congress who was elected. On the other hand, it seems like the influence of the Revanth Reddy’s arrest is severe among the party members. That might be the result of the TDP be eliminated in MLC elections.By Phani
