Nokia to deviate completely from the mass marketing strategy

Nokia has made plans to completely revamp their marketing strategy by jettisoning the old strategy of mass marketing with the launch of the new samrtphone powered by Windows 8 in autumn, according to the Financial Times on Monday.

There are also secret negotiations with European Operators regarding the formation of an exclusive chance to launch a mobile with Windows 8 developed by Microsoft.
Nokia has reportedly talked to France Telecom but there has been no news of any deal being finalized yet.

Nokia has decidedly ditched the old strategy of trying to sell as many phones as it can to gain the favor of partnerships which would instead create the dedicated support for the smartphones that it launches. The plan is to initially do this with a couple of European Networks and then later think of expansion.
In a news paper, a person who claimed to have information of the talks said that the relationships of the operators with Nokia would also guarantee them a market share if they succeed in developing the market for the phone.
