Google Chrome is now the giant

Google Chrome is now the giant

Search engine giant Google’s most widely publicized web browser-Google Chrome has finally reached every nook and corner of the world as the reports indicate Chrome is the most sought after browser for all age groups. Internet Explorer or just IE was actually the ruler in Internet world till a year ago but the scenario has now changed. Be it due to the extra features or for the speed browsing one reportedly experience with it, Chrome-an optional browser till a couple of months back-has now apparently turned a default browser to scores.

A year ago, yes exactly 12 months back, Google Chrome was not even in second position. In 2011, Internet Explorer had a market share of 43 per cent, Mozilla Firefox had 29 per cent and Google Chrome’s market share was 19 per cent. Interestingly in 2012, Internet Explorer lost 12 per cent of its market share and Chrome gained 13 per cent thereby standing on top.

The market experts are of the opinion that Google Chrome has to still catch up as many of the domestic Internet users to Internet Explorer since it comes as default with the operating system and many middle-aged people usually don’t prefer to download the additional browsers. Once even they get to know the speed of Chrome, then Google will become a giant not just in search engine but even in the web browsing.
