Kidambi Srikanth Turns World No 1 In Badminton:- Indian badminton star Kidambi Srikanth turned World No 1 the latest rankings released by Badminton World Federation (BWF). He replaced Denmark's Viktor Axelson. Kidambi Srikanth raced to the top with 76895 points in men's singles category. Axelson lost 1660 points after he could not perform to the expectations in the Malaysian Open. Kidambi Srikanth bagged the mixed team gold in the Commonwealth Games that are being held in Gold Coast.

Srikanth is the second Indian after Saina Nehwal to turn no 1 in Badminton and is the first male player to reach the position. Kidambi Srikanth too has been trained by top coach Pullela Gopichand in his academy in Hyderabad. Gopichand has been extremely delighted with the performance of Srikanth. The ace player reached to the second place last year but sufffered injury after which he failed to reach the top slot.
