With increase in demand of diesel vehicles, Japan automobile manufacturer, Honda Motors introduced City sedan in diesel variants today. This diesel variants are developed exclusively for India, will be the most fuel efficient in its class. The car will be produced at the company's Greater Noida plant and the price range starts from 8.62 lakhs.

Honda wants get back their market in this segment as Hyundai's Verna is dominating which has both petrol and diesel versions. Honda is hopeful that it may regain the spot by the end of this year. Also the Japan leading motor company is planning to come up with one small hatchback and mini SUV variant to tackle Ford's Ecosport.
