Continuous Texting affects Spine

These days we rarely find people without phones in their hand. Calling, texting is now part of our daily activity and about 98 percent of people will sleep with their phones by their side. Now a new study published in the medical journal, Surgical Technology International stated that texting will put 60 pounds of pressure on your spine. Well this is due change in angle of your spine while texting.

In general, your head weighs around 10 pounds, when you look down to type, the weight of your head will add to your neck and spine and increases by 50 pounds. A New York surgeon, Kenneth Hansraj  insists that he had calculated the amount of pressure during the texting and emails are adding to your spine.

The pressure on spine also depends upon the angle you tilt your next while texting. The more bend in neck, the more pressure on spine and triple the consequences of it future.
