Driver-less cars: Google, Fiat join hands

To introduce the driver-less cars, Google is teaming up with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV (FCAU).

Joining hands with Fiat, Google works to add its self driving system to 100 of the automaker’s Chrysler Pacifica minivans. This is for the first of its time to install a system in a passenger vehicle.

Google said that, it is unwilling to make the driver-less cars from the scratch and Fiat is unable to conduct its own self driving experiments, due to the significant amounts of debt. It is thus, the deal between both the big companies moved  forward.

“It couldn't have picked a better one than Google, which is far down the road with self-driving cars,” Michelle Krebs, an Autotrader analyst, said about Fiat's decision to partner with the tech company for driver-less cars.
