The reason behind this is, a new kind of gin has come which is infused with the essence of ants. Yes, you heard it right.
A man named Miles Irving, collected over 6000 red wood ants and placed them in a strong ethanol solution, before distilling it to make an ant concentrate. The ants are actually chosen for their citrus flavor, which is caused by the formic acid they produce.
The gin is the first in the world to be made using insects, and each £200 bottle contains the "essence" of 62 ants.
