Popular producer and father of hero Jagapathi Babu, VB Rajendra Prasad has breathed his last yesterday at a private hospital. Rajendra Prasad was 82 years old and was suffering from some age related health issues.  He was in born in Gudiwada and was fascinated by the glamour in his childhood.

Rajendra Prasad stepped in to films to become an actor but eventually became a producer. He established Jagapathi Arts production house and produced 16 Telugu films. Rajendra Prasad also ventured into direction, his 'Dasara Bullodu' was a blockbuster. He was confered with Raghupati Venkaiah award for his immense contribution to the development of film industry in Hyderabad. The Telugu film industry mourned the sudden demise of Rajendra Prasad. A decision on where to hold his last rites is yet to be taken.
