Jammu & Kashmir Voting recorded over 31%

Jammu & Kashmir Assembly elections kicks off on Tuesday for all the 18 Assembly constituencies in the state, during second phase of elections in Jammu and Kashmir. The election commission officials has released a bulletin on Tuesday afternoon that around 32.03 per cent polling has been recorded in the Jammu & Kashmir Assembly elections till 02:00 pm, which the highest was marked at 44 per cent in Gool-Arnas constituency, followed by Gulabgarh (42.43) and Reasi (42.08).

Meanwhile, the 41.80 per cent polling has been registered in Udhampur, Ramnagar (40.88), Chenani (37.08), Surankote (27) ande Mendhar (24) by 02:00 pm. According to sources, around 15 lakh voters will decide the future of 175 candidates including four sitting ministers and former Separatist leader Sajjad Lone.

The highest polling was recorded in Lolab 30.88 per cent, followed by Handwara (30.40), Noorabad (30.05)and Devsar (30). In Kupwara 29.82 per cent, Karnah (22.87). Langate (22.77), Kulgam (28.14), and Home Shalibnugh (11.39). Army chief General Dalbir Singh visit Jammu region, where nine Assembly constituencies are in progress.
